smooth 114 Posted March 25, 2016 100% agreeClub football before international for me by a long way. This break came at the worse time, just after our break where the guys went off. Tough to keep the buzz and energy from our last win especially with such an important game at the start of April.
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted March 25, 2016 Used to really look forward to Easter Monday games against the binners, now that isn''t going to happen anytime soon, thanks to the nervousness of authority, but they were special (a la Boxing Day)
king canary 8,758 Posted March 25, 2016 Totally agree- 4 days off and all we''ve got to watch is a bunch of international friendlies. There isn''t even any test cricket/six nations/NFL as an alternative.
Kidderminster Exile 0 Posted March 25, 2016 Yes, but at least we are 3 weeks unbeaten
Johnny Stump 1 Posted March 25, 2016 Agree, 4 day weekend and club football needed to keep the momentum going. Why can''t they do internationals mid week like they used to in the good old days when you could at least associate with being an England (or whoever) supporter. These days I just couldn''t give a flying toss. Lessingham Canary 108 Posted March 25, 2016 Feel cheated, could have been at CR today, and maybe London (or anywhere) on Monday, love holiday weekend football..............
? 0 Posted March 25, 2016 Ridiculous timing for a bunch of meaningless friendlies, players will not want to be injures going into the closing stages of the season so won''t be giving it anyway near their best, not that they seem to do anyway!
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted March 25, 2016 Easter is very early this year, perhaps that has something to do with the clash.I have mixed feelings about the fact that it is a break for internationals as I am quite looking forward to the two games coming up as a foretaste of what might come in the Euros. Particularly with regards the England expectations. It has though transpired as a break at the wrong time for City as things are now beginning to look better with our fortunes only just on the up.Of course, Saturday will be a good day for us sporting couch potatoes, with England''s vital 20/20 game against Sri Lanka being followed by the football and then the 4th. Day of the Dell Match Play golf competition after that.Tinnies in the fridge and at the ready.

Thecanaryfan 0 Posted March 26, 2016 I''m off to Wembley on Tuesday to watch England Holland. Wont be so annoyed then, but I agree that Easter weekend is poor timing.Wonder if Ricky is featuring??
