BUSY AT BOURNEMOUTH?

As well lodging a bid for Wolves striker Benik Afobe, Sky Sports News HQ understands Bournemouth are still interested in signing Norwich striker Lewis Grabban.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe declined the opportunity to comment on the report when asked on Friday.

We also understand Bournemouth have enquired about Leeds midfielder Lewis Cook and remain on Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe.

In the not to distance past man u used to go about buying players from other clubs to sit on the bench just to simply stop other teams winning the league. Mark Bosnich from Villa was a good example. Bournemouth seem to be going about buying anybody to sit on their bench that might help any of their rivals stay up. Certainly if the bids are not really serious ie Defoe then is it their objective to unsettle players ?

They get gates of 12500 they are not in the Champions league, they do not have some amazing brand to sell across the world and they are not on tv every week. One has to conclude therefore that just like last year they are breaking financial fair play rules ? When will the PL act to stop teams mid season rather than simply saying you naughty boys at the end of the season. Just pray they go down so it can be shown that not every team can buy success. Same applies to QPR

They really are just following the QPR shit or bust model. Seeing them throw money at players to get them in can''t be good for the current squads morale either. Imagine being one of the players coming up the leagues earning a relative pittance in comparison to guys like Iturbe who''s wages they reportedly doubled to £45,000 a week or potentially Defoe with £60-70k a week. That apparently split the QPR squad in quite a major way and when that happens it''s tough to recover from.
