Katie Borkins 1 Posted August 15, 2015 Our last dismal PL campaign saw us rack up just 9 points from our 19 games, alongside a "park a leaky bus" approach which frequently offered less entertainment value than a ticket to your own funeral.Under AN our approach and results have been tremendous and I expect we will get 3 points today. But how many away points do you think we will get overall?I think 4 wins, 5 draws, 17 points.
lake district canary 4,831 Posted August 15, 2015 Plenty of opportunities for away points this season - and even last time under the unmentionable one there were tight games where the odd goal would have seen us walk away with wins - but if we play like we know we can, we will get a few wins away. We beat Watford, Bnmth and Brentford away last season - arguably the strongest home teams in the division - so with the right mentality we should be able to to go to the lower half clubs and get points. Play as well as we know we can and wins at top half clubs are not out of the question either. So 4 or 5 wins would be a good return, so throw in one or two draws and 17 points would be achievable. If we really get to teams away as we did last season, it could be more.
Van wink 2,994 Posted August 15, 2015 We will win more than we did under CH that''s for sure.Three or four wins and the same number of draws should be achievable with the right team.Amazing that LDC refers to Hughton as the "unmentionable one", you''ll be posting revenge porn of him before long! Crabbycanary3 994 Posted August 15, 2015 I think 17 is a realistic target, but more importantly, achieveable.
AJ 1,359 Posted August 15, 2015 As long as we have a decent home form as well, 17 points away from home would surely see us to safety as well. I think somewhere between 15-18 is an acceptable aim but also like you say Crabby something we have to set out to achieve if we want to stay up.
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted August 15, 2015 AN still has us unbeaten away in a League game, since he took over

Crabbycanary3 994 Posted August 15, 2015 Plus 19 (NINETEEN) shots on goal, for an away game, is very impressive also

HazzaJet 267 Posted August 15, 2015 We are still unbeaten away under Alex Neil and I do believe that we can get quite a few more. However, I think that we need to wait until some more games have been played and we can see how teams are likely to do. I mean Leicester are top of the table at the moment, but do you really think they''ll make the Champions League? Arsenal are in the drop zone, but do you really think they''ll finish in the bottom half?
Gainer the Gopher 0 Posted August 15, 2015 Lake also couched his estimate with the old "if we play as well as we can" mantra, which makes most of his comments meaningless. If we did that, we''d be top 6. Maybe just plain top. What if we play our best but the ref is corrupt? What if we don''t play our best? We had a lapse in garbage time and gave up a weak goal today.
