1.
thank god your not the manager.
thanks for the well structured and thought out repsonse The idea of a forum is to debate opinions mate, so instead of being sarcastic, why not explain what you think is wrong with my opinion and offer yours, instead of a childish response?   Come on we are all big boys and girls and criticism is what its all about.
2. thats why Helveg should have come on for Jonsson. Drury - I watched the 50 minutes on Sky last night and he didn''t stop a single cross.  Every time a player received the ball out wide on the right he was in our penalty area and had to make up loads of ground giving the player plenty of time to ping in the cross.  He looked unfit and clueless to me.  Edworthy - thrasing his hands about when Dickov scored when it was him that was marking the wrong side of him, idiot!!   Apart from that he played well though. Holt & Franics play way too deep.  Back four are inside the penalty area and Holt and Francis stand on the edge of it not even marking anyone?!?!?!   Gives the oppo sooooo much space and even when we clear it, they get it straight back again. Come on Nigel, sort it out, please.
3. I agree that Worthy is making some weird decisions at the moment, but I don''t agree that sacking him is the answer.  That will just make matters a whole lot worse. Lets just hope that he learns from his mistakes and we only see Hendo for 10 - 15 minute spells in the future, which is fair when trying to mould a youngster. The comments about McVeigh upfront are quite amusing as lots of people a couple of games back were calling for McVeigh upfront over the underperforming McKenzie, then when he is brought on it was the worst managerial decision ever, lol.  See how opinions can change and so can form.
4. I hope your right. I think calling for Nigel to go, as some have already, is a little out of order and premature, plus wouldn''t help much at this stage.  However he has made some shocking errors. Give Mullers a chance, give Safri another go, give Helveg another go, get Bentley back in there, Shacks too.  Why oh why Henderson? Heres the team I would like to see: GK  Green LB  Charlton CB  Shacks CB  Flemming RB  Helveg RW Jonson CM  Francis CM Mullers LW  Bentley ST McKenzie ST  Svensson Subs:  Huckerby, McVeigh, Drury, Eddworthy, Safri, Ward  (is that one too many?)
5. The defence lost us two points today.  Smallest man on the pitch unmarked!! 6 yards out with 3 minutes to go!!  Shocking. We need someone to organise the defence.  Individually everyone in there are without a doubt good defenders, but they are making silly mistakes that are costing us goals.  Is Drury the right man for captain?  Is Green authoritive enough?   I don''t know I am not at the ground, you guys tells me.   All I know is most of you are calling for strikers when today highlighted once again that the defence is a more critical area.  Should have beaten Everton and should have won today. It also sounds like we went route 1 against 10 men!!  Why wasn''t someone organsing the whole team to keep the ball and pass it about? Sounded like Holt gave it away a lot again, Hendo was a silly sub and Huckerby stood about hands on hips with nothing going for him, any thoughts and opinions on those things? Surely Mullers or McVeigh should have come on for Jonson and Huckerby, not McKenzie who was having a lively match? I am absolutely gutted.  The happy positive pills have worn off and my yellow and green light-saber broke when I smashed it against the wall. The only small hope is that there are still 6 other teams within touching distance.
6. 1-1 Poor, poor, poor defending..............again!!  Blown it.
7. and at time of posting my reply we are winning 1-0.  However Blackburn are all over us at the minute I hear on the radio.   Some naive defending has been mentioned more than once.  Is it a striker we need?
8. Now this is seriously funny.   First of all a seasoned member of the message board puts a sarcastic post because of all the moaning that has been going on and a bunch of newbies give him a serious kick in for being so horrible Then, and this is the really funny bit, some other seasoned posters state clearly that he was being sarcastic and still two more newbies are having a go Morale of the story is, think before you post.  KG is a very positive and active member of the board, you only have to look at any of his other posts to know that this was a joke, an attempt to lighten the mood and tell all the moaners to shut the hell up and enjoy the good life in the prem.
9. just remember people - think positive - the force is strong with us - I can feel a shift in the balance of power and I have just completed construction of my new Yellow and Green lightsaber.
10.
whats the name of the horse Stevanage fan I will place the same bet.
I haven''t decided yet mate, its worth somewhere between £1.2M and £5M and is sure to solve all my problems.  I am just waiting for some sound advice from a Wizard that I know, lol
11. I tell thee Campbell is retiring from prem footy at the end of this seaosn.
12. nice little story, hopefully getting a POINT across to some people round here,
13. absolutely quality   well done people a bit of good old humour. Spat I was just organising a loan to buy a new house with 10 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, swimming pool, study, 2 reception areas, kitchen diner, dining room, 4 garages and a conservatory because I reckon I deserve it and I have just bet on a horse that will guarantee I can afford to pay back the loan.
14. No doom and gloom in the Hertfordshire Canary Camp DDiM, I am very positive about the current state of NCFC
15. great idea, I''m gonna try that packet of fag trick............hang on.......I don''t smoke
16.
Pearls of wisdom from the sensible Stevenage one, I will cool it a little, ok?. But, if come January, we end up with some cut price donkey, or worse, a Shefri Kugi type donkey, then I''m going to st...
You know what I think? I think that Wiz deep down knows that we are going to struggle this year and there is, if we are all honest, a very real chance of getting relegated.  He also knows that we are highly unlikey to spend loads of money on a decent striker.  Therefore by making these points now, when we get to January and we don''t buy a mega striker and we are still struggling at the bottom somewhere, he can turn round and say "I told you so ".  We will all then have to say, yes oh great wizard you were indeed right, how could we have been so stupid to have faith in our club to do well without a wad of cash However, there would be no point in that Wiz, because we all know that what you are saying is right, we are going to struggle and we do need a striker, but spending loads of money isn''t the answer to a long term success, therefore it''s probably (note I am leaving myself a get out of jail free card in case the board come up trumps ) not going to happen and you can say I told you so till you are blue in the face.
17. Oh no here we go again, part 3 of the "The Board want us to get relegated and one Striker will save us" saga.............enjoy!!! Don''t get me wrong, like everyone else Yellow & Green, I would love to see Nigel with a sweet £5 Million burning a hole in his back pocket, but people SERIOUSLY, it ain''t gonna happen.  It is for the LONG TERM GOOD of this fine club that this won''t happen. If someone could guarantee that one striker worth £5M or less would GUARANTEE our premiership status then I am sure that the board would buy him flat out, but the cold hard fact is no one can guarantee that. Please, please, please, stop crying about lack of funds, lack of the board taking some risks and wait and see what Nigel has got out of the remaining fixtures between now and January.  If we win half and draw half I am sure all this nonsense will have calmed down a bit and then whoever he buys will be a help to an already good squad. I know you only bring this up because you care and badly want us to stay in the Prem, we all do, but its not serving any purpose at the moment other than to start the same old subjects over and over and its all in a negative light when what we want right now is some positive vibes, please
18. like all of these so far especially old Hanky Panky Yanky 1) Rileys FC to win the league cup and get promoted  (that''s my Sunday Team currently 4th) 2) Norwich to have won lots of games and not get relegated 3) Hux to be called up to LW for England 4) Greeno to get his first England Cap 5) McKenzie to score a hat trick 6) Helveg & Jonsson to prove their critics wrong and me right 7) the answer to be Yes to a question I will have asked 8) peace on earth 9) good will to all men 10) and a bundle of cash for me
19. as what has become a common theme recently I agree with Bananaman.
20. Brennan looked good, but as Zipper said on another topic Hux and Drury have developed a good understanding when we play with Hux coming from the left.  Okay Bren could develop that too with a few games under his belt, but its not likely once Capitano is fit again.  I have never seen him play out and out left wing, but from what I saw last night he can pass, so maybe worth a shot as a wing back with Flem, Charlton and Drury as back 3 and Eddy as opposite wing back. Hendo didn''t have enough time to do anything and I have only seen him play twice before now, but he looks sharp.  Very quick and not afraid of a tackle regardless of his light weight form.  I think it might worth playing more of him and hope Nigel will.  I still have faith in Helveg and Jonsson though.
21. DDiM you realise Yankee is going to jump on you yet again for seemingly changing your mind, lol. These are the exact sentiments I have been promoting.  We have to face that we don''t have bundles of cash and are going to struggle to say here.  From what I have seen and listened to we are playing some good football with a very low budget team.  This squad can fight to stay up.  Yes it would be nice to get a couple of amazing signings, but unless any deal for Greeno is a good one we probably won''t have the cash. Lets just keep getting behind the team and the management and hope that their massive learning curve will start to pay off against some of the lesser teams to come.
22. I agree with Zipper.  I just can''t fathom why so many posters are against Jonsson, when no one wearing Green was any better last night.  They all had below average games yet the shouts for Jonsson out are all over the place. I thought Leon was the worst player on the pitch last night, but would still give him another start to see if it was just an off day.   If Drury is better, then him for Brennan (who didn''t play badly) would be my only change.   I would let Holt know this was his last chance though.  I think the only reason Safri hasn''t been brought back in for another try is because he is fasting.  I would have liked to see Mullers given a spell for one of the cente pair too. I am sure Jonsson, Leon and Holt all know they have Helveg, McVeigh, Mullers, Bentley and Safri waiting in the wings and a repeat of last nights display could affect anyone of their places, but with so many underpar performances you can''t just change the whole team.
23. thats exactly what i was about to type cous
