Trouble is, when a club of Norwich''s means have spent £8.4 million, it''s not unreasonable to expect the player to hit the ground running. It should not be necessary to still be "adapting"and "getting up to speed" in October - that''s what pre-season is for. And I simply don''t buy the idea that he''s working his socks off - he has been noticeable by his lack of contribution in all games so far, admittedly barring one fantastic header. Even CH finally lost patience on Sunday and we looked infinitely more threatening with Elmander playing the lone striker role.   Let''s not forger we spent a ton of cash, by our standards, on another striker. I''d now like to see him afforded the same number of consecutive full games as Ricky was given so we can run the rule over him. My biggest problem with RvW is that is so patently lightweight. Hooper looks far more able to look after himself against those nasty rough boys.

Like it or not, season ticket holders are the life blood of the club. Derided by stream-watchers and those desparate for a ticket for the manyoo game, but there you go - facts are facts. And yes, times are hard. Mucho thanks to him upstairs for making sure the St Chav''s collection plate is always full. Keeps me in fags and scotch.

Just seen details of the club''s offer to allow members to buy 4 tickers for the Cardiff game before season ticket holders are allowed to purchase. This seems to be penalising the bedrock of the club''s support. Why afford special to those who pick and choose the odd game to attend?

Rather than waste it on a, ahem, "striker" who can''t hit a barn door perhaps we could have brought out the hotel''s other investors, pulled it down and put in a temporary infill stand.

For £8.4 million it should be taken as given that a player can cimontrol a simple ball to feet. Something to work on in training. A loan spell in the Championship would help and toughen him up to boot.

And that would be that the first choice number 9/centre foreard at the club is Johan Elmander. Pairing him in a "little and large" combo with Hooper will pay dividends. As things stand, Becchio must be nrxt in the pecking order. RvW has gad his chance, failed to impress and is now due some bench time. I''d suggest getting him into the gym to bulk him up.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than to cheer in his thirtieth of the season whilst chowing down on my hat. But I don''t see that happening. I would recommend, in all seriousness, a loan spell in the Championship to toughen him up.

Great result but ... in no way due to the Wolf''s "contribution". Everyone wants it to work out for him but, for a blinkered few, it''s time to face up to a few cruel realities. Ricky van Wolfswinkel is a million miles off being a Premier League striker. He barely touched the ball. Take one bullet header out of the equation and he has barely touched the ball all season. His touch was appalling. He''s lightweight - looks like a boy in a man''s game. He doesn''t fight for the ball. On the rare occasion it comes to him he invariably fluffs his lines. Even Hughton had seen enough. And the much-derided Elmander? Did far mote in his cameo appearance than RvW did all game. A master class in how to lead the line as a loan striker. It has to be Hooper and Elmander against Chelsea. Bench RvW to make it very clear that what he has shown so far is a very long way from good enough. "But he doesn''t get the service!" Would you pass to him?

After an entire career on his dad''s coat-tails? Nah...

I''m predicting a ''lose the will to live'' dire game ending in a 2-0 defeat.

I know some people find it very, very difficult to opinions views that don''t tally with their own deeply entrenched views. And I feel for them. I just happen to rate Elmander. It would be a boring old world if we all agreed on everything [obviously the high post count clique demand that everyone agrees with their view in all circumstances]

Weak Ricky must have already set some kind of club record for fewest touches of the ball in five complete games. And I don''t buy this "but he''s not getting the service" hogwash. Sometimes you have to hustle the opposition and win 50/50s. Finidi doesn''t do this, he''s too lightweight. Hooper has a bit of the Flecky about him and definitely does. Against Stoke I''d look for the more robust players.Hoops and Johan. Also goes for midfield - play pansy Howson and we''ll lose.

For me, he''s a "must start" on Sunday, paired up with Hoops. I know he has his knockers, usually the never go to games brigrade, but he just offers so much more than weak little Dean van Coneyswinkle and his poorly toe. Strong as an ox, great in the air, two good feet and a constant goal threat. It''s like having a Holty who actually cares. And a lovely beard to boot!
