  1. February 1st, to ensure no money is expended in the transfer window and the new manager will have a grace period as 'it's not his squad' 'not suited to his style'. Then sack him February 2025 and repeat
  2. When Webber pulled his previous trick of raiding Dortmund II I thought Farke was a pound-shop Wagner after a mediocre first season. Now it feels like in Wagner we have a pound-shop Farke
  3. No doubt some fans will still say appointing him was the right decision
  4. I just remember Neil Adams tried playing Nathan Redmond as a forward. I believe Walcott played as a forward more than once. Just wondering if there is a striker there, or if his attributes truly are suited wide
  5. I gather a number of posters watch development games and might be in a position to comment. I saw a scoreline from recently and he only came on as a late sub, which does not suggest he is knocking on the door
  6. When he came in on loan, it was originally as a development signing and it was said he would go with the U23s initially, but would be looking to join the senior set up. Any signs of this happening? Or is he way off that?
  7. If this is the case are we failing to recognise a striker in our midst? I gather he has played on both flanks at times this season. Where does he seem to play best?
  8. Was always disappointed that Bellamy didnt feel more of an affinity to us, given this is where it all started for him. Was disappointed when he celebrated his goal against us at Anfield
  9. The academy has had some good players blossom from it, with a number being sold for significant fees. How does Jon Rowe compare to some of those who has gone before. Is he of the same calibre? Is he better? What is the general opinion?
  10. We did this a few years back. I joined the mass exodus but soon found myself the only one on there, at which point the chat function became rubbish
  11. I thought Paul Lambert's comments about not re-inventing the wheel were interesting. Almost noone plays 442 anymore. Old fashioned full-backs are practically extinct. Talk about phases of play, counterpressing and playing a high block and double pivots, Pep's inverted fullbacks. Certainly the game has changed a lot in England over the last 10 years. Heck, even the last 5 years
  12. I think in terms of the Premier League, the question is, what is a sustainable philosophy? Lambert's brand of football was incredibly effective. Could it have been sustainable if he had stayed? His lack of success elsewhere perhaps suggests not. Hughton-ball didnt work and proved not sustainable. Worthy was close to keeping us up, though I think that team had far less cohesion than other Norwich Premier League teams. In Wagner we have a coach with a track record of Premier League survival. Though not beyond one season. If Wagner gets us up (and in this division the play-offs is always only a fortuitous run away), is his approach sustainable? Or does it run out of steam the way most Bielsa teams do?
  13. Whilst true, it's kind of irrelevant when discussing Farke's ability. If he is successful it simply shows his ability when given the resources. Many a flawed manager has squandered a team full of diamonds. The board seem to think Norwich managers are perpetually guilty of this
  14. A characteristic of many a great team, to play until the final whistle
  15. Wagner has been shown some faith. If Farke had been shown a similar amount of faith, could he too have seen some improvement in results? PS - I dont really care if merely the existence of this question triggers the right people. If you dont like the question you can always ignore the post...
  16. So what are you saying the club could have done better on? If it's not sacking him after that free-hit Premiership cash-grab, the club bounced back and got promoted again winning the league and breaking a record I believe, so Im not sure how the club paid the price then. If you're suggesting we should have sacked Farke before the end of that season, well, we tried that 11 games in with Smith and that was catastrophic. And he had £60m of new players to work with, which any mid-season replacement for Farke wouldnt have had - they'd have had the same bunch of kids and 3rd tier German players Farke had. So Im not sure how the club is paying a heavy price due to Farke? Run me through your thinking here 🤔
  17. The loyalty to Wagner, who has achieved nothing at the club, makes it even more baffling that Farke, a man who had achieved plenty at the club was shown so little. What has Wagner done to justify the faith that was not shown to others?
  18. Efan Ekoku's revelation that he hated the bird **** kit. What about you?
