I've often thought Pukki has the brains and other attributes to be that Thomas Muller style player in a wide/floating position.

To be fair I thought we would win both of those games and will continue to beat poor/average sides at home even if we don't change manager. Perhaps I'm just a miserablist when it comes to Smith and in a few weeks time I'll start seeing the green shoots. As of now I've mowed the lawn and looked closely but am not seeing them.

I've been a clapper on this forum for 15 or 16 years and even I can see where this season is heading. Somebody's cut the brakes and we're heading towards a cliff. Deano couldn't care less as he'll be ejected onto a big pile of money, of course that will be too late. Obviously hope we win but the best result over the last week would have been a few losses and Smith out of his job.

Anyone think we should sell Onel Hernandez because he's not good enough?

Considering it's one of the only things we've won we should absolutely care about it.

We're a significantly different side to what we were during that first Farke promotion season and Hernandez is no longer in his prime. I don't want to underrate the importance of Hernandez that year but his role was essentially to go out and cause chaos/uncertainty whereas a winger in Smith's 433 really needs to be putting out end product. He's had a few pretty serious injuries and has failed to get close to his 18-19 numbers in any of his following seasons. There's still a role for him to play here but that is not one of a regular starter.

Hernandez is good at some things which is why he's effective coming on against tired legs. Millwall handled him well starting from the beginning though. We don't get close to top 2 this season if Onel is our starting winger.

Rashica and Hernandez aren't very good, Rowe and Springett realistically aren't near the 11 and Sinani and Cantwell aren't out and out wingers. Another winger is absolutely needed.

Mumba couldn't get a Championship loan. Yeah massive mistake loaning him out when we probably had 4 ahead of him in the pecking order here.

We should just play a different formation and style when Pukki plays. Once Hayden is fit we've absolutely got the midfield for a 4231.

I'd say it's all but confirmed. This is happening we just don't know what 'this' looks like yet.
