Too everybody saying Hoolahan didnt offer anything last night, he SCORED. Thats more then anybody else did, remember goals win you games.
-
Another highlight of the Doc today was when Campbell was on the floor and Doc still couldnt tackle him.
-
Agree but where the f**k was Semmy for the 2nd and 3rd goals? Hes as shit as the Doc!
Im not a fan of Semmy but thats abit harsh. Whaley should be blamed for the 2nd, Semmy made the run down the wing and he just ignored him and lost the ball. With the 3rd Semmy was marking Campbell and pervented him getting the shot away because the centre defenders went missing.

Look its Doherty trying to tackle Jones for the first goal!

Finally a manager has seen sense and got rid of Doherty! I think we will actually keep a clean sheet now.

McViegh isnt good enough, not good enough for Luton, not good enough for us.

Will Lambert drop the Doc?
ncfcfan replied to E I E I E I O's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Doherty was on top form today, we only let in 2 goals against the mighty Brentford. So far he''s played in all 3 league games and we''ve kept no clean sheets and conceded only 10 goals, keep up the good work doc! -

I thinking exactly the same, the tributes seem a bit OTT. I didnt see any tributes for Glenn Roeder. -

Does anybody else think Lambert will play these two? I hope he does, theyre much better then some of the people who have been playing. You cant deny the quality they will bring to the team in League 1.
I''ve always been a fan of Russell. He brings a combative attitude to the middle of the pitch
Exactly and that is what we need at the moment. I would like a midfield of Hughes and Russell, with Adeyami and Tudor Jones as backup. Im not a fan of Gill, doesnt get invovled enough, with him playing its like you have 10 men.

Have we finally found a replacement for Francis?
Worried he will be very good - and end up being sold similar to Delph this year! Its going to happen at some point, so prepare for him going!
My thoughts aswell.I think this midfield and attack is strong enough for promotion:Whaley - Adeyami - Hughes - Hoolahan Holt - McDonaldIm just very worried about the manager and defence! -
i''m sorry but how the heck can anyone take this seriously??
It not meant to be taken seriously but being a happy clapper, you wouldnt understand that!
Love it! ncfcfan - did you change Theo''s page on Wiki after sat? It has now been changed back - but very funny! This passage seems to have been wrote in the same style
I didnt but i did see it and it made me giggle. I was too angry on Saturday to do anything.

Lets hope one of the big teams dont try to take the genius Bryan Gunn from us.

After beating the mighty footballing gods of Yeovil, i feel we are going up!With Bryan Gunn, the new Jose Mourinho, managing to transform a side from losing 7-1 to winning 4-0, in 3 days, and Gary Doherty, the League 1 John Terry, captaining his side to a clean sheet, nothing can stop us now. With the difficult challenge of Exter on Saturday, hopefully Gunn will motivate stars like Otsemebor, Nelson, Gill, Doherty and Theoklitos to perform to their recent high standards and help us scrap a 1-0 victory and begin our 45 league games unbeaten record.Delia Smith also should be praised, despite droping from the Premiership to League 1 under her leadership, she has managed to make her little Norwich into a fantastic family club. Who wants to be competing in the Premiership, when you can have a fantastic family outing to see Norwich concede 7 goals at home and have a great post match meal in Yellows.OTBC

Can''t really say that I agree with the idea that he "deserves" more time. I''ve only seen him twice. I thought he was very unconvincing in the Wigan game and obviously on Saturday he never looked like saving anything. With the arrival of Alnwick he needed to make sure that he made it clear he was first choice ''keeper but he failed to do that. If he loses his place he''s only himself to blame. If he does play again then I''ll be hoping he can put it right and show he''s a good ''keeper.
Alnwick looked shaky at best against Man Utd XI though. As he has in previous games I have seen him play elsewhere. His kicking was like having Andy Marshall back.
WHAT!! You can''t be serious! He was very good against Utd. Commanded his area well and, in case you have forgotten, saved a penalty! Compared to Theoklitis he was world class. You my friend are seriously deluded.
His kicking was awful and that penalty made Evra''s at the weekend look amazing.
You still have to save it, Theo wouldnt of saved it. He''s so good he couldnt get a game for Blackpool last time he played in this country

Personally, I''ve never really really seen Stefanovic as someone who was going to give 100% to Norwich City. When he did play last season he was a mixed bag in terms of the quality of his perfomance. My guess would be that after we got relegated he looked at the possibility of a move but when he realised there might not be anything suitable around he quickly made a little statement about how he wanted to stay and help us etc etc A lovely player, especially in his prime, but I don''t see him as being someone who would fight to get us out of this division.
Oh like the Doc gives a 100% for the cause. The Doc could give 200% and he still wouldn''t be good enough.Plus lets hope Nelson shows the same fighting spirit he did on Saturday. Look out League Two.
Well, in my opinion, he Doc defended more strongly than Stefanovic last season. Having players committed to your cause is far far far more important than some people realise. That''s not to say ability doesn''t play it''s part but you also want players you know will go the extra few yards, run that bit harder, put themselves in where it hurts. When you have too many players who don''t care enough you get relegated. Like last season, for example.
And when you have Doherty in the team, you get relegated, he''s going for the hattrick.Anybody who would rather have Doherty after saturdays performance instead of Stefanovic is obviously clueless.

Just got off the phone to NCFC...

I dont understand the criticism for claiming the rebate. Why should I be giving them extra money just because the club failed to keep in the championship, i would rather have my money then reward the club for failure. -
NAME THAT TEAM v Colchester (h) 2006
ncfcfan replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Any chance of some help with the rb and the 5 letter centre midfielder? -
Why does Semmi get stick when he did nothing majorly wrong and saved us from a goal when their player was clear through. Yet Doherty gives away a penalty and the trialist misses the ball which leads to their player being clean through until Semmi covered but neither get any stick. If Semmi had done either of these things everybody would be calling for his head, people need to jump off the blame Semmi bandwagon and actually get behind him, last time in this league he was the rb of the season but if he has no confidence because everybody is on his back then hes gonna struggle to find that form again. I would agree with crictism if he had done something costly but he hasnt so all this stick is uncalled for, Doherty should get some for his ridiculous tackle what gave away a pointless penalty.
-
I think people are being unfair on semmy, I think his defending has actually improved. Today he actually saved us a few times, once the trailist made a mistake and the striker was through but semmy covered and saved us a goal why does he get the crictism, when doherty was the donkey today. I agree he was awful last season but today he doesn''t deserve the stick, he wasn''t even the worst defender today.
