1. I feel an awful lot happier with McNally and PL in charge should we go up than the last time . PL has shown he''s no fool in who to get in and i cant see that aproach changing thatmuch even with a far larger cheque book. Same with McNally. He can see the fine line between running the club against buying players far better than Doomcaster ever could. Whilst i agree to an extent with the " budget to go down again " that we had i think we carried that too far .
2. I''ll not admit to knowing all the facts but how many clubs have gone pete tong since going up and then coming down again ? Us, Palace , Boro , Southampton , i could go on if i looked a bit harder at the facts. Most of the above quote money which is of course a huge reason. Take the money aspect away and can we really say we''ll have a better season of football at CR ?
3. Wage cap every poxy player in the prem to a max of £10,000 a week then the rest up to a cap of £50k a week which is dependant on wins and not dicking other players wife''s and girlfriends.
4. Stupid question thats been discussed before i know but as each game passes it gets closer . We do really want to go up dont we . Well, yes we need the money ( money being the main problem with football in my humble opion but thats another thread ) Yes, you can argue you want to play at the highest level you can so the Prem''s the place to do it. errr i''m trying to think of other reasons here. To fill the  ground ? Done and doing that. To watch the best football ? We''ll i dont know about you lot but i''ve had a cracking season so far , watching some fantastic games as well. To watch Rooney and those other two timing , over paid and jumped up players ? Sod them. Give me a player running his heart out for Preston or Burnley any day. I can go one but , for me , apart from the money i''ve loved this season and would have it again in a heartbeat. And besides, with no Ip*wich how will we up our goal difference ??????????
5. Listen. I''ve been a supporter for ........ 30 odd years , been going to games both home and away for the last 20 odd years and nothing , NOTHING  will top Thursday nights slaughter of both their shite team and also their crappy supporters.   Amen.
6. Yea, this is a worry to me , but tbh i''m worrying about ever flippin game at the minute. I cant help but think that the lads are playing their socks off and think there is a slip up yet to come. Having said that i was expecting a loss at the scum and look what happened there . [:D]
7.   Last night was the first time i''ve really clocked him as it''s the first live game i''ve been to for a few weeks. What little time he had and what touches he made i''m disapointed he''s going back.  Would have been excellant cover and / or a front man maybe.   Looks a bit too much like RM for my tired eyes as well. [:D]
8.

I''m sorry fellow yellows but the man / boy is right. Others have to slip up for us to go up and thats a hard fact. I''m counting on todays games as a big answer to whats going to happen. Yep , it was a great game last night and i was lucky enough to be there but it''s not over untill the points are in the bag.
Yes, we all know the facts, we''re not stupid. Its the delivery of them to try and deflect from a good whupping thats lame though.
Sorry, i''m not for a minute suggesting that you are , it''s me i suppose. I''m just getting the jitters more than normal as it''s so tight at the top and we''re so close. A good whippin is what they got all right ,[:D]

10. and i think it''s safe to say that , in twenty of years of going to watch them play , tonight the lads gave me the best night out ever. I cant really put it all into words , it''s seems everything just clicked into place. I was in the bottom row right at ground level and the noise was so loud it nigh on made my ears hurt. To my left was an entire stand of blue and white all sat on their backsides speechless. The entire Norwich crowd just seemed to know who was going to sing what next and promtly joined in to perfection.   Shall we sing a song for you ? Might as well cos they gave up. Every time we came forward we just felt another was going in. And most of the time it did. As captin marvel was subbed the ground rung out with how we f***in love Grant Holt.  Oh how great that sounded as they sat speechless. Who needs bloody Barclaycard when Norwich City are priceless ?
11. The only way Wes will go is if he doesn''t want to stay and prefers another club. PL and McNasty have both said  they''ll not sell any stars and we all know that''s what Wes is. As has been said, which of our players would get any interest from clubs in a better position than ours ??? None i feel.
12. Dunno the answer to your question but maybe another way of looking at is it to possibly look at what some are doing wrong . Look a few miles down the road at what Uncle Keane has managed.  HAd a good bit of money , bought in some fairly expensive players and it all goes to pete tong. The trouble i see with expensive players is their heads get bigger as their value goes up and you end up with 11 big heads running around playing for themselves. That attitude gets less as the value of the player goes down. A squad of reasonable players, well managed by a boss that proves that his idea''s work will always be better than expensive buys. You need a very very good manager to look after very expensive players. Fergy has always made sure his players know that no one is bigger than Man U . I think we''re in the same, if not better position than when we had Worthy and co in charge back in 2004 .
13.
Anyone else worry that all the people Holty''s wound up in the first half of the season and waiting to greet him in the second half. Oh well I guess thats what Wilbrahams for
For that to happen we have to think that footballers have to be able to remember things for more that a couple of days........
14.   If we''d signed a bigger name front man some would moan that Holts doing more than a good job so it''s not needed ? So, if it''s true he could be good cover for Holt which might mean we have another 1 or 2 people coming in which might be a bigger signing in area''s thats really needed ? We could say PL''s spending what money his got wisely in the area''s that need it the most ? A manager spending money sensibly  * SHOCK*
15.
Yeahhh let''s all talk about the negatives as we''re doing so well and can''t find alot to moan about...
I''m not moaning , i''m asking others if people see it the same as i do . I suppose if someone had clouted Hooly like that we couldn''t talk about that either ? I''m all for the lads standing up for the rest of the team but only like for like .
16. I was sitting right near the handbags incident and couldn''t be sure i''d seen it right but i''ve watched it again on the bbc website and you can see GH run from the incident and as he passes Quinn he gives him a right old clout on the sly. I haven''t seen the other incident just before halftime again ( i caught it whilst having my mid game pint ) but he looked to have got Bartley booked as well when it Holt wasn''t even touched. Now , dont get me wrong i aint got that much of a problem with things like the penalty he got us but the Quinn incident as i see it was way way out of order and not something i like to see from any player on the field, let alone one of ours. Yes i know Holts a tough player but that was too far for me. Any one else see it  or go one to the bbc site and tell me i''m wrong ( at 1.33 in the vid) http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/9326705.stm   ( still a top man for taking apart the Binners though )
17.
. Shame there isn''t a better alternative.
Which is why it would be great to sort out the prem. Wage cap the players and filter down the TV money to the lower leagues so all footy fans could watch their teams with out fear of their clubs going bust.
18. You can list the clubs that being in the Prem has screwed up and we all the now the reasons why. You lose you good players, they all want big money  blah blah....... I didn''t really want to but having PL and McNasty in charge has made me think slightly differently. If your going to be in that league then having those 2 in charge isn''t a bad start...... is it ?   If you really want an answer then i''d say sort the money out properly so it''s not all going to 20 clubs and wage cap the players.
19. You can moan about her if you want but dont forget she stepped in at a time when we were as good as gone money wise. Her main faults seem to have been who she''s put in charge of affairs be it beside her in the board room or manager of the players. What you cant do is fault her comitment to the club and also the % of her income she puts in against many of the big players in the prem. Question many people should ask themselves is " who would they want as owners of the club in the long term ? " A russian type billionair who granted puts in s**t loads of money but could change his mind on a monday morning or someone who really cares for the club and wont just give up one day. How many of these other owners go in with the our supporters in away games like ds has a couple of times. Granted she aint perfect but she does her bit.
20. Dont know about the ins and outs of keeping him but i would say that our squad is pretty strong from front to back  and is good enough for the playoffs. Getting a prem type player like him in is the extra push that can make the difference between play offs and 2nd place or a win in the playoffs.  McNally has said PL can get some help in if he needs it so on the basis of this , and PL''s clever buying up to now, i feel very confident of a good player coming in to give us that extra nudge  not unlike a certain Mr Hucks did a couple of years ago.
21.
You don''t have to buy it, but with Christmas coming up, it''s possible a few people might fancy buying it to give to Ipswich supporting friends or family and if the Club can make £12 from it or £12000, it''s still beneficial for the club, right? It all adds up and is the sort of thingy Mcnally has brought to the club, if we can get in tiny bits of money here and there, then there really isn''t anything to moan about. No one''s forcing you to buy it so quit your jibber-jabber fools!
Is the correct answer.   We dont have to buy it. It brings in some money for the club You get the kids a GH poster for their bedroom It''s a better bet than bl**dy Pretty Woman or Dirty Dancing again over the xmas break.   Happy Days
22. I''ve been to more derby games than i care to remember, some alot better than others . Unfortunatly it''s been bred into me over these games to just dislike them more and more. it''s the first result i look after ours of course. I suppose my age means i''ve seen the more basic side of the game before the big tv money and prawn sarnies came along  !
23. I''ve a feeling McNally will be around a fair while as you dont see many head sheds upping and going like managers do. As for Pl.......... well i''ve seen many a post on here talking about how long he''ll be here. Lets just make the most of him whilst his here eh. Does make you wonder what he would have done , or even what Worthy would have done should McNally had been in charge back in the prem days.
24. First off a hello as it''s my first post. Drinks behind the bar if you want. I''ve watched this forum from afar for many years and not bothered to post but thought , after the statement on financial  affairs this week , i’d put a few votes in the way of McNally. Thank the lord for him.He really has done more for this club than any one i can think of by his tough choices and his idea’s of pushing the club forward. He didn’t muck about with Gunn.He chose Lambert and knew he had to pay a fair ol wedge in costs to get him. He’s not shied away from upping  the prices and the reasons why  and of course he really has put the football first . Lambert has sorted the team out but by god has Mcnally sorted the club out.   OTBC
