  1. Don''t be silly Flashheart, it''s in the paper (and such a respected paper, too!) so it must be true.
  2. Can''t see it happening even if it does turn out to be true, which i severly doubt. As the Coventry fan said, Ward is easily worth more than Bell. Coleman, the last i checked, wasn''t a certified nutcase, so i can''t see him accepting it.
  3. Superb post, Butler. My Dad was only 2 back then, so i wasn''t even close to being around but you''ve summed up my feelings perfectly. It''s why i will always be there, come rain or shine, come League 2 or the Premier. It''s a labour of love, but a love it most certainly is. On the ball, City.
  4. Erm... Maybe because then we have no backup for when we get our next, inevitable, red card... 2 fit centre-backs just isn''t enough, i''m afraid.
  5. Calling for ''the head of Delia'' is about as useful as calling for the sun to rise tomorrow. It''ll happen, given time. She wants out, now her and Harris just need to find an interested person. Unfortunately some people, such as yourself, Smudger, are too self-absorbed to understand that one. And are you implying that there''s never, EVER, in the entire history of football been a manager who was paid little and given little money to help, but managed to achieve? Roeder has had little to work with, but he''s hardly done a sterling job with what little he has been given, so i fail to see how he escapes any blame in your book. All the money in the world won''t help or change his tactical mistakes.
  6. Or maybe it''s a Saturday evening and most people have better things to do than post on the Pinkun website, with it''s boringly predicatable posts. I, unfortunately, am not one of them this weekend! ;o)
  7. Try reading the rest of the forum mate. We''re on there, doing our best to stem the tide of negativity and inconsistency in our feelow fans views. Unlucky? We clearly have been this season, though i can''t remember ever reading anyone say it''s the only reason we''re doing badly. Saviour? Again, i can''t remember ever reading this, just seeing a few of us who think she''s done a lot for the club over the years. She''s trying to sell up, what more do you want? Magician? Another you''ve conjured up out of somewhere. The man is clearly tactically inept, but he''s probably the best we can do with our current budget (see above). That said, i would like to see someone else get a chance, i just don''t think it''s financially viable at the moment.
  8. No, you''re right, you don''t. And in the same vein, why should anyone else care about your bleatings? But i hoped you''d have enough strength in your convictions to at least address the rest of my post. Clearly i was wrong, and you don''t. And on another matter, how do any of us know how long the board have been seeking investment? Were the Turners not extra investment? That one may not have worked out, but it goes to show that obviously the club WERE looking for people to come in, so stop your nonsense Kad, or whoever it was.
  9. Good God CT, stop being so deliberately obtuse man. If investment is so easy to find, how come Newcastle, Everton, Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday are having so many problems? And that''s just to name the clubs off the top of my head. I''d arguably have a point if i said EVERY club in financial trouble (so that''s just about three-quarters of the nations clubs) was struggling to find investment, because they could all do with the extra dosh. As any of us with functioning braincells have worked out and accepted by now, the £56 million included the necessary paying off of £20 million debts, and Cullum''s optional and already promised £20 million transfer fund. The club was for sale for £16 million, and the debts, not £56 million. Geezus, it''s not too difficult, is it? As for that magical £700k figure you''ve conjured up from the ether, again, stop being so bleedin'' obtuse. The economy and football finances have changed drastically since then, so it makes sense she''d want a whole lot more than she paid for the club. Plus she probably wants to get her money back for all the extra investment she''s put in over the years which went to paying for the off the field ventures that have been keeping our club out of administration and even worse financial trouble over the years, and i for one can''t blame her for that. Christ, most of us whinge about not getting our ticket money back when we''ve been useless, yet everyone seems to expect her to hand the club over for free now it''s all going wrong. Hypocrites. How much have YOU done for the club over the years, CT?
  10. Hissing at Andy Impy everytime he touched the ball.
  11. Pfft. A one goal deficit is nothing, the lads are just making a game of it, that''s all. 2-1 win to the City. And you lot should just ignore Smudger. He''s really not worth the bother.
  12. God knows how i forgot about the pie... I seem to remember the old drummer we used to have throwing his stick at someone too, though i may have dreamed it. It was a while back, and my memory''s not what it used to be!
  13. Getting Matty Etherington sent off was a high point...
  14. No, WAY, if we''d have lost i''d not have had the same opinion, but that''s irelevant because we didn''t lose. But how can people who don''t go ever expect to see the great days and results that we occasionally get served up? And the fact that i said ''boycotters'' should be enough for you to see that i didn''t mean people who couldn''t go for financial reasons, health, transport, and all the rest. I understand that because i''ve been on the end of it myself at times, we all have. But as i''m sure you''re aware, i meant the people who refused to go, or as Barclay Boy so helpfully pointed out, said they''d not go and actually did. But how can anyone who chooses not to go because we''re not very good lately, but will happily turn up when it''s going our way, ever claim to be loyal? It''s a contradiction, and makes those people no better than the typical Man Utd glory hunter we all know and dislike. Loyal fans will turn up whenever they can, regardless of how bad we are, and they''ll be rewarded with the rare gem such as we saw yesterday. Norwich is for life, not just for when we''re good. ;o)
  15. There was a few empty seats Barclay Boy, maybe your eye-sight is going if you missed them. Might be time for a trip to the opticians, eh? Don''t worry, it happens to the best of us, with age. Maybe, hopefully, the small number of them goes to prove that these keyboard warriors aren''t quite part of the majority they like to think they are. Scoring points? Good God no. How many times have i posted on threads involving board debates? I stay well clear, thank you very much. Why? Because my feelings for the board have little to no impact on my attendance at City games. I go because i love to, because every now and then i get to see a special day and a special result. Today was one of those times, thankfully. There was no vitriol in my post. Any people who did boycott missed a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, as i said in my original post. Hopefully they''ll do both themselves and the club a favour and actually turn up in future. It''s beneficial to us all, as it''s more money for the club, which is never a bad thing is these trying times, and it''s another voice to add to the atmosphere. And hopefully those who said they''d boycott and didn''t actually go through with it will think before they post in future, for the benefit of this messageboard, which is rapidly becoming tiresome. No one with any brain cells will give them credit for posting that they''re going to stay away, and they deserve even less respect for saying they will and then actually turning up. Calm down and enjoy your evening, Barclay Boy. Such hostility can''t be healthy.
  16. Hope you enjoyed listening on the radio today. You missed a thoroughly enjoyable game and an excellent, solid performance from the boys. Being a true fan means taking the good with the bad. We''ve had a lot of bad recently but us true fans who turned up today, as we do every bloomin'' week, got something special back from the club today. I hope you''re suitably embarressed and ashamed of yourselves for missing it and failing to contribute and enjoy it. Find some loyalty, and turn up next time. Who knows, you might be pleasantly surprised! On the ball, City.
  17. Don''t be stupid. Never do it in front of the Scum.
  18. If Roeder had displayed even the slightest bit of eptitude i''d agree, give him a few years. Unfortunately the man is quite clearly clueless. Even more unfortunately, we can''t afford to sack him, and he doesn''t strike me as the sort of man who''d walk away, either.
  19. How in the name of hell would you know how good Hoolahan is Smudger? Y''know, considering you don''t even bother going to the games, an'' all...
  20. I don''t think it''s so much the win that will have got through to people as much as it was the superb travelling support. Made me truly proud to be a City fan for the first time in a long while. Yes, things aren''t good at the moment, hell, have they been worse at any point in the club''s history? But if 1,500 die hards can be bothered to travel through such awful weather for a televised away game, i''d feel completely ashamed of myself to make the 40 mile round trip the a home game for a protest. Let''s get behind the lads tomorrow night and make Carrow Road what it once was. Not only will it help them out, it''ll show everyone what great support we have, and how can that possibly deter any potential investor? On the ball, City.
  21. Carrow Road is somewhat similar these days Chris. Not the place it used to be, that''s for sure! But our away support is still superb, so that''s okay.
  22. As much as i like Bertrand, he''s just not the player we saw last season. Maybe he''s got slightly complacent, or something. Either way, it''s a joke if Drury can''t get a game based on Ryan''s current form.
