I''d be quite happy with this deal I think, another body on a permanent deal, and an experienced keeper at that. Would be ideal for continuing Rudd''s development. I can''t see Coyle coming in on loan without a guarantee of first team football afterall.
 2. I''m not frustrated that we haven''t signed anyone this week, just that there has been no news to get excited about full stop. The hope factor is what keeps me going in the summer!
 3. Anyone else think it''s odd that given we are expecting (or have at least been told that we are close to) making between 2 and 4 signings this week that everythings so quiet? I was hoping for a few names being linked, but nothing this week really other than Ifil (pretty unexciting he is too). With Alan Lee apparently not one of the people due to arrive, that leaves 3 or 4 possibles from names heard so far I think, in order of likelihood: 1. Coyle 2. Small 3. Ifil 4. Dickinson I can''t see Dickinson getting done this week, and probably not at all. So that leaves only really Small which I would class as an exciting signing. I''m impatient I know, but I really did have high hopes for our squad being well on the way to being complete by the time we played our first pre season game, or at least have the big striker in that we''ve needed for more than 12 months. Lets hope for a few surprises this week, can''t see it happening though. If I''ve learnt anything from Norwich''s past exploits in the transfer market, patience is essential. OTBC

[;)] How did the exams go?
Couldn''t he round it up to £2?! Well I don''t actually know my results for the modules yet, but I think they went pretty well, and I have already got confirmation that I have a 2.1, so I''m pretty chuffed!
Excellent stuff mate! In my view a 2.1 the perfect degree, in that it shows that you''re bright, but also that you have a life!
Cheers mate, and that is exactly my take on it as well!   Congrats. Not sure I agree that a 2:1 is the perfect degree, but getting a first is of no real benefit.

Fair enough, I think the main benefit is where you actually get your degree from though, and I''m definitely not going to complain about that either.
I agree wholeheartedly with that. Where were you studying? A 2:1 is what you need to keep all doors open to you so you are right to be chuffed. Make the most of your good degree as much as you can in the next 2-3 years, it will become increasingly less important as time goes by!

 6. £500k sounds a bit steep to me. Would rather have Alan Lee + someone else with the other £100k-150k.
 7.
That''s it, brief and simple "Bryan Gunn will be the manager next season". So they''ve done this before new board members are appointed.  What if the new members aren''t happy about it?? God help us.
That''s just it, the new board members will approve, or they won''t be given the job. Nothing has changed, the deck chairs have been reshuffled though.
 8. I don''t buy the clear the decks theory, why not just do it when the new investor comes in? I wouldn''t be surprised if there was a fresh cash injection, can''t see it being on the scale hoped for though. I think it''s rationale comes down to two things; 1. The board needed an overhaul and those were the only two in a position to be binned; and, 2. Delia is hoping to avoid flak by taking action but staying herself. Either way should be a good thing I think
 9. I find the cycle hope and disappointment more unbearable than anything else. I''m resigned to league 1, but that''s not to say I won''t be at the match and praying for a Norwich win, I just can''t see it. I''m looking forward to the game, I''m only feeling down because I care about the club and I enjoy nothing more than watching them play. Charlton 1-1 Norwich Plymouth 0-0 Barnsley We''ll push for a winner but just lack the edge needed.
 10. Today isn''t the day city died, that day was when roeder tore the heart and soul out of the club and the board watched passively. Tonight for me brings heartbreak but with it renewed hope. If we weren''t relegated this season we would have been next with gunn in charge and a lower calibre of loanee than roeder managed to attract. We''re down but we''re not out. The club we love which has disappeared this season will be back soon enough.
 11. Yes. Get the tube to London Bridge or Charing Cross and get a train from there, or get the Jubilee line to North Greenwich and get a bus. www.tfl.gov.uk can plan your route, will also be able to advise of any engineering works.
 12. East Stand Block A. Have applied for Charlton membership, only ST holders and members can buy tickets.
 13. Does anyone else feel that Gunn is now making the same fundamental mistake as Roeder? What I''m talking about is not knowing what the best team is and constantly chopping and changing the line up. Before the international break, I pretty much knew what the line up would be barring injuries. But now, I have no idea where each player will pop up each match, Gow on the right? Croft on the right? Mooney on the right? 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 or 4-5-1? I think gunn needs to quickly work out what our best formation is and stick to it. At no point this season have I really believed that our squad is so bad that it''s incapable of winning enough games to stay up, the problem I think is that management can''t decide who the best combination of 11 to achieve it. Monday is massive, but I''m not sure a win will be enough in the end. Fingers crossed! OTBC
 14. Come on you yellows! I cannot wait to get down there and cheer the boys on!   ON THE  BALL CITY!

 16. Winner to be announced at 13:20 on Skysports news apparently
 17.
Croft is a good championship player, but I don''t believe he should be guaranteed a place in the first eleven.  I am probably one of a few people who feel that Croft is like the thrid little pig.  He huffs and he puffs, but he can not blow that house down. (I.e. he will run all day and work hard, but when it comes down to it the basic principle of a winger is to stick the ball on a strikers head, not cross and hope the striker can get to it)
Erm...are you sure it wasn''t the wolf which was huffing and puffing? But I agree with what you''re saying. He looks like he''s brilliant, until you try and remember what he actually achieved for all his effort. That said, I think he''s a very good championship player who should be in our team, I think he''s pretty good at tracking back too.
