1.

I think Fozzy''s great. I really liked the interview from last season wheh he talked about his dad''s job on the building site. He certainly seems aware how lucky he is to be a professional footballer and I think he sets a great example for the rest of the team. Player of the year last year in my opinion, and hoping for more of the same next season.
I agree with what you say, however, I''m not convinced he only signed for a year to keep himself on the edge!! If we have another crap season he can then decide not to sign again & join whoever he wants for free & negotiate higher wages!!
Think the "living on the edge" bit has been caught from Mr Roeder. He keeps saying he likes to do that.
 2.

Erm no what appears to have been established is that Richters is back with Blackburn this week for the start of their pre-season training. I personally am pretty convinced I saw Richters on that Canariesworld footage of our training last week. Is it not entirely possible that having been out injured for most of last season he has come back and trained with us last week before re-joining Blackburn for the start of their training this week? If so that would inidcate he is still well on our radar.
Just read your post on other thread. He could still be on radar if that was him. Some say yes others say no. So????
So?????? No idea really where that takes us. Suggests to me that he is a likely signing if its him but no more than that. I guess in the complete and utter absence of any other transfer speculation this week we (or those of us who are off sick and bored anyway!) are left feeding off these scraps!
If it''s a choice between Blackburn selling or loaning him out again it would be selling. His contract ends next year and therefore no fee. 8k ceiling here though won''t compare with his probable 16k and a long way to come down. We could get him on loan if nobody wants to buy him. All hypothetical I guess.

Blackburn Rovers have just told us: "Maceo has recovered from his injury and he''s back training with us and the rest of the team this week.  We resumed training yesterday when the players met Paul Ince for the first time and he was certainly present because I was there."
Thanks Camul. So we know Rigters is not training with us this week. Another source with incorrect info.
Not sure anyone has claimed he is training with us this week. The claim is that he was training with us last week and was inadvertently shown on the video of the players in pre-season training.
Ok. However Ryank did say on another post this morning that his mate confirmed that Rigters was on the Canaries World video, which was presumably last week, It seems to have been established that he was not. So his mate (source) was mistaken. This throws doubt on Rigters having been here at all.
Just seen other threads recent posts. Inconclusive. Therefore source could be right or wrong.

 7.

Thanks ryan, some good information there.  You''ve never come across as a wind-up merchant so I''ll trust your word for now, particularly in light of the reported video clip... Also glad to see Roeder isn''t going to be taken to the cleaners and get any old player.  If Gow is more interested in cash then its "toodle-oo" from me and "hello" to Rigters[:)]
If Rigters was on well over 10 th at Blackburn it''s doubtful if he will sign for 8 th here. Maybe the Cullum agreement is the key and the 8th ceiling is changed.
In the long run it is better for some players to take a pay cut for their long term careers (see Huckerby), Rigters hasnt had any speculation linking him to Premiership clubs? and 8k is a good wage in this division..... a 10/12k contract for 12 months is worth less than an 8k contract for 3 years..... especially if that year on 10k is going to be spent rotting in the reserves and being forgotten about?  Bonuses could be worked in as well, such as a bonus if he stays fit for most of the year, and a rise on promotion (like Huckerby). In all walks of life their are people that are unhappy in their jobs and take a pay cut to be happier at work, in fact I took a pay cut once to get out of a job. To some people mental happiness is more important than bank balance?
You  said on your first post that Rigters was not quite on 20k but well over 10k. This implies that it is certainly nearer to 20k than 10k. In that case say a 16k contract for 1 year and a new contract for say 2 years at another club for 10k a year would be sisnificantly better than 8k for 3 years here. We don''t know that he is unhappy at Blackburn. He may wish to just go out on loan until his contract ends next year.

 9.
having had a change of heart over the weekend, was the choppo satirical piece on the smiths the final straw after a week of mail and opinion from the fans??? did they tune into the pink un for an update on supporters views, only to be horrified by what they saw and decide enough was enough, they would approach PC to hold talks??? ironically, in this topsy turney world, mr. chopsy was trying to defend them...you couldn''t make it up!!! lets hope a fair deal is struck by all concerned - so city can move on easily and quickly?<>
Irony and more irony. Very good.
 10.

My brother (Yes I know another brother comment!) rents a flat in the new block that overlooks the club shop & Yellows and he sees Neil Doncaster arriving in his fairly average Merc around 7/8am every morning and he never leaves before 8/9pm and at the moment that is 7 days a week! I would bet that very few clubs get that kind of commitment from their CEOs!!! ONTB City! Keep the faith....
I''d be exceptionally surprised if any other person in a similar position to Neil takes the time to respond to all emails and phone calls he receives from fans as well.
To be fair he does do that. If we have lots of money to spend (Cullum), then Doncasters image will change dramatically. He won''t be able to say there is none anymore. He will become well liked with a different image altogether. A new Mr Doncaster and no longer Mr Doomcaster.
 11.
I think thats a tongue in cheek comment to say a couple of deals are virtually finalised.
Is it?

The thread that got 26 pages, mainly because you refused to leave it be? So I''m sorry, but if it''s alright with you sir, I''d quite like to just give tribes a quick reply. tribes, you have no need to apologise, but what I actually meant was could Mr C not have used another example other than that of a despicable despot like Mugabe? In other words, not a despot, just something different. Another thing he could''ve done is put the [;)] icon next to his thread title. That may have helped more people realise that he wasn''t being serious in the first place and could therefore have deflected some, if not all, of the flak that he received. Don''t worry Arthur, I''ve finished now [:)]
He could have done. In retrospect it would have no doubt been better if he had. He was no doubt looking for impact and it certainly had that, but not in the way he thought it would.
 13.
Fans have to wait 07 July 2008 Norwich City have closed the gates on fans wanting to watch the players go through their pre-season work at the club''s Colney training centre. Fans will have to wait until Thursday, August 14 - five days after the opening match of the new Championship campaign - before they are allowed in to watch their heroes train. City players are away this week, going through intensive work at Nigel Mansell''s Woodbury Park Hotel in Exeter, and head off to Sweden next week for matches on July 19 and 22. The first home pre-season friendly is against Tottenham, on Monday, July 28 with a match against Colchester the following Saturday. But then fans will have to wait another 12 days before they can get in to Colney, ahead of the first home game of the season, against Blackpool. Colney will, as last season, be closed the day before a match. FROM EDP 24
Was Colney open earlier last season, I can''t remember?
 14.
Great loads more loans to look forward to. I can hardly contain my excitement at preparing the top Prem clubs players for the future. At the same time all the transfer money will have disappeared (Again) on loan wages. Our clubs policies become more transparent as the seasons go on. I do not want a team made up of rejects and players considered "not the finished article" playing for us. I want Norwich City players we can be proud of. These defenders are only here because they are going to be free, quality costs money such as tiny who would of been a great asset here. Christ, Wolves have just offered us the amount we would not pay for him to get Shackell (Straight swap anyone???!!!) Again I say we are a Joke, We are broke and it is time to drive this organisation out of town.
I feel same way as you but fear we are going to get them anyway.
 15.
From what I have been told Roeders transfers policy is dictated by which loan players he can bring in.  If he gets his first choice loanees (the likes of Bertand, Ched Evans and there is a decent young centre half lined up from one of the top 3), then this will free up his available funds to buy at decent priced/quality striker and two other decent first teamers.  The key though is to get the 6 loan players that he has targeted and then he can use his budget elsewhere.  There is money to spend its just a case of how its broken down.  The problem is obviously that many clubs are reluctant to let their loanees out until their own squads are determined, hence the Ched Evans situation.  However if we do get the loan players he wants there is a decent striker lined up, unfortunately the name of whom hasn''t been disclosed to me.
From what Roeder has said so far this looks the most likely scenario.
 16. We have 2 defenders here on trial, Berner and Bur?. Berner is unfortunately injured so they can''t assess him. As for strikers, Roeder is saying that he will get 2 permanents in and a loan signing. Still think he will go for 5 more loanees and they will probably arrive later. He says he wants Gibbs back. Haven''t expected much more than looks to be coming in since end of last season. To sum up, think he will get 5 more loans 2 perm strikers, goalkeeper and 1 perm centre back. 9 total.

 20. PLayers will no doubt come in before start of season. It will be difficult training eg. defence against attack with just Cureton and Martin.
 21.

Well if they do agree with you Shack they are all extremely foolish. I''d say Vince has already outlined that he has a problem with you and any other idiot with a narror minded attitude on here. I think the word he used was AWFUL. My sentiments exactly.
Maybe Vince will ban me then if I''m that awful. Perhaps he can ban all of the other ''extremely foolish'' posters that you find so offensive. Then you can just chat with people who hold exactly the same point of view that you do because anything else clearly makes your little head hurt.
Shack Attack; you are certainly not foolish. However Cullumfan you are no doubt a bit slow and find the simplest of things difficult to understand.

 23.
I have to agree with Shack here. No offence was meant to be caused, it was simply a thread to highlight how ridiculous some posters had got. Nothing was meant by it, if he had said Delia is like *insert evil fictional character''s name* then would people still be complaining? Probably not, although the meaning is still the same.
It was exactly that. Seemed pretty obvious really.
 24.

I strongly suspect that jordi was a windup, but such a good one I didn''t want it to stop. He did it well.
You''d think it was a wind up. After all I can''t imagine any person being so stupid. Or at least I couldn''t before reading the replies to Mister Chops'' thread... [:S]
Yes. A lot of those replies were very jordi. Still find it hard to believe that they couldn''t see that Chopps was complaining about the attacks on Delia.
