Bates on loan from Boro till end of season ...from SSN
It says on sky news 1 month loan. I hope im wrong but i think a month might be too long. He''s 5 foot 10. 13 stone 22 year old hasn''t played for Boro for the last 3 years. Had a couple of 1 month loans for Ipswich and Darlington in 2005 & 2006. To me this doesn''t look too promising, hope i''m proved wrong, but i''m thinking fat and lazy. Glenn and staff must see something tho.

Preston are now Double Helix Hexed!
Canarygeorge replied to First Wizard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Your Preston Hex seems to be gathering apace. Brown and last nights scoring defender were sent off and miss saturdays game. Now, Wiz, we need you to go to work on that Karl Hawley, who''s been getting a bit good lately. -
Hello DBLUE, and welcome. I''m sure he''s not ready for the Prem. yet. Maybe next season or the season after. He shows promise, but needs more experience. He is getting games here and that must be better than the occaisional reserve team run-out for your team. Hope Sven can find you a good striker or two, he is certainly looking everywhere. Good luck, George.

So who is this Arsenal youngster?
Canarygeorge replied to Badger Pie's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think it will be 1 of these 3, 17 year olds, as Glenn said he was very young. Henri Lansbury - midfielder, 1 sub. app. L./Cup. Nacer Barazite - Dutch midfielder, 2 sub. app. L./Cup. Gavin Hoyte - Defender, no games yet. -

Taylor signing unlikely.
Canarygeorge replied to Canarygeorge's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It''s getting close to the mid-day deadline for todays signing ! Glenn said he''s got 1st refusal on an Arsenal player who is very young. My guess is it would be 1 of these 3, 17 year olds. Gavin Hoyte, defender, no games so far. Henri Lansbury, midfielder,1 sub. app. L./Cup. Nacer Barazite,Dutch midfielder, 2 sub apps, L./cup. -
Glenn Roeder said this morning that Tiny was very unlikely to be signing this week. bugger. He did say that there could be 3-4 players hopefully coming in, maybe 1 today. Heard this on Radio Norfolk at 10.20 a.m.

David Murphy, Birminghams new £1.5 million left back has donated his signing on fee to Hibs as thanks for the last 3 years at the club. What a refreshing change in these days of greedy, self-indulgent prima donnas. And he''s not even Scottish. He''s English. Brightened my day reading something like that. Nice 1 David.

Now Arsenal are out of Carling Cup.........
Canarygeorge replied to Gentleman Jim's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
.......maybe we may get some of their young guns as hinted by Roeder a few weeks ago !
Thats just what i was thinking Jim. We need some classy but cheap players and this might be an opportunity. Glenns contacts to pay off ? Lets hope so. -

Transfers for decent players are always going to go to the wire in January, unless you have a lot of money to spend like QPR. We are no longer the stone that makes the splash into the pond, probably never have been. We are one of many lilly-pads that get pushed by the ripples created by the impact of the stones. We have to wait for stones to fall in order to be able to move ourselves, the main stone in our case being Birmingham signing a central defender before they release Taylor. Confucious, he say "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." At least that what this page says. Personally, I doubt that he ever spoke English.
Blimey blah ! You sure your names not Eric Cantona.
That''s what it says on my name tag. Do you want fries with that ? [:)]
LoL. Nice one.
Roeder won''t walk out on us. Money is available Taylor will be with us by the end of next week.
I hope you''re right Sid. J.C. I didn''t say anything about more midfielders. I said 1 central defender & 1 central /utility. What i meant by central /utility was someone who could do a job anywhere across the back 4.
