This is all down to the pressure of playing 60-70 mins with 10 men. Dijks to blame for today. -

Like a lot of players I''ll be happy when we solve the LB problem with a permanent move. Dijks doesn''t do it for me, and knowing we are very unlikely to go up and the manager that brought him here is gone, he''s probably already thinking ahead to his future next season and his focus on the job at hand is less of a priority. -

Sick of hearing how an opposition player has "gotten away from Klose or Martin". Happens every week.... 4-1. Surely he has to be sacked now. We''re in the champ for god sake, after recent years of Prem footy getting tonked multiple times in this league this season is unacceptable. -

We''re sh!te. This could be a repeat of Brighton away. Alex Neil has slowly overseen poor player recruitment in unneeded areas, poor game plan, and poor in game management. AN out! -
@SeattleCanary Absolutely that is a huge factor. I was more speaking to the fact that some folks on here need a bit of perspective when talking about our players. People calling him a "bad defender" are just insulting him...since he has come here I have heard nothing but "what a beast Dijks is" from the media.
That is true, the media have been saying that. The problem is, we concede too many goals, and his style of play isn''t going to help with stopping that. Like I said, he didn''t close down the cross, or even try to, for Ipswich''s goal.
I have never quite understood when people say "he''s good going forward but defensively hes crap"...its very obvious that Dijks can definitely defend. A monkey could flip on the TV and see that he can do the job. Is he pulling up any trees and winning every single tackle? No, but that is not even the role of a full back, especially in Neil''s system. If you kept his offensive ability and he was an absolute Maldini defensively, then he clearly wouldn''t be playing here... Chelsea have Marcos Alonso, who while playing more a wing role, was always regarded as a poor defender at Sunderland...clearly hasn''t stopped him this year.
Regarding Alonso, don''t you think he may have had a better year largely due to the caliber of player around him this season? Courtois, Cahill, David Luiz are a damn sight better than what Sunderland and us have to offer.
Why do we need defenders that need to be good "defensively" Can''t see that argument sorry.
You are kidding right? That''s like saying why do we need strikers that do more than hold the ball up... then again we have lafferty and camjam as our choices right now, which isn''t a million mikes off. If we are seriously building a squad at a view to promotion and sustainable Prem football, he would get torn apart. No better than a bottom 5 Prem team would take him.
In that case, as you''re not a professional footballer you can''t comment on Sunday''s game can you ?
I can have MY opinion on the game, and a players perdoemancw, but I cannot say categorically that NCFC or a particular player has done this, that and the other wrong like it''s fact. That''s the difference between some replies on here.
Not my cup of tea but surely it''s just down to personal taste? He clearly does what he does very well.
Exactly. Witherspoon clearly doesn''t understand the concept of that music is an art. Like I said, like it or don''t like it, but you cannot say something is good or bad categorically.
-
I feel like I''m taking crazy pills. Going forwards, he''s decent. Defensively he is shocking.
100% agree. I''m not a huge fan tbh. Even though Knudsen wasn''t picked up, he was out of position to close down the cross (didn''t try). I think defensively, and that is his job let''s not forget, he''s bang average.
Anyone with the lyrical incompetence to describe someone''s face "crumbling like pastry" should put the guitar down and go and learn how to plumb.
He''s the only good thing amongst a sea of cr@p in new music. Is an unbelievable vocal talent, and writes catchy tunes. Like his or dislike him, but unless you''re a musician you can''t know of what you speak mate.

To be fair their goalkeeper was probably MOTM. We easily have enough chances to win that. Playoffs a huge ask now.

See Ed Sheeran is in attendance, one can only assume as he''s from Suffolk he''s a binner. Shame as otherwise he''s a top lad.

Well this season more or less just finished today mate, so I''m thinking ahead for the new season. Sacking him before May is pointless.

Agree with planning ahead for next season. We are so unbalanced with the squad and seriously lack the players and manager needed to really challenge in this league. Huge clear out needs to happen.

Sheff W striking department is pretty decent, especially at this level. Forestieri, Hooper, Fletcher, Winnall and Rhodes. They also have Nuhiu who scores a couple. Talk about strength in depth. -
