Time to go Delia replied to Dr. Ink's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yes we fielded our strongest available and it was another pathetic performance , Grant is starting to make Worthington look like a good manager , his latest freebie Scott had to come off at half time against Rochdale because he was out of his depth , god help us. -

Earnies record in the prem may not be anything special but hes still a class above anything we have up front now , as for loyalty do you really think all these jocks Grant is signing give a stuff about Norwich City , its a job nothing more nothing less. -
BOOO! The Binners are top of the league.

Linked with a move to Charlton today in the Sunday Mirror . -
The players you name MLJ ,Thorne ,Jarrett etc did not feature in the side that much did they , yes we have more options now but the options are weak , we are a squad of very very average players and if we make the top 10 i will be amazed.
-
Not to worry , its much easier picking 1 than having to sort 6 out , i have been doing fixed odds on a Saturday for years and if you get them up 3 or 4 times a season your doing well .
-
I would not bet to much on us finishing above Town , this really could be the weakest Norwich team for many a season . We have played what looks like 3 of the weaker outfits so far and could very easily have lost all 3 , its going to be another long hard season .

If we did ok at Preston Col U must be world beaters, and they sold every decent player they had . -

I really dont see why your all getting on your high horses, Smudger actually makes some valid points 1- Are we really satisfied with keep signing freebies 2- What position has Grant bought Murray for ? centre half or midfield .Or just cover. 3- We were promised ambition this season and still we get more from sales than we spend on signings . Why ? 4- A lot of people are going overboard about the first 2 results when the performances suggest another season of struggle. Why does asking these questions make Smudger so disliked or a binner in disguise , imo he could well be hitting the nail firmly on the head. -
Arsenal to beat Man City.

I dont think there is any money available , i really think if there was Grant would have moved for Riordan a player he was wetting himself over in January . As for Murray who knows what he will turn out like but you have to be very worried about his fitness and it seems the club are with only 1 year on offer , its no good complaining about injury jinxs if you buy injury prone players. -
why so pessimistic?

Your just a classic case of getting carried away LC , we started much better last season and look where we finished , so far we have taken 4 points off the teams bottom and 4th bottom and we could quite easily have lost both (and probably should have) . Lets just wait and see , 15 to 20 games in and we should know what end of the table we will be fighting at . -
Why is £2 million for Davenport so far out , if you balance it with what we paid for Doc years ago its probably a very fair price. Loans are a waste of time , whats the point supporting a club and having to watch a team full of another teams players .This Board need to put their hands in their pockets and actually SPEND some money , we have been stitched up yet again this summer.

Anybody who thinks a Premiership club would come in for Cureton has quite frankly lost the plot .

West Brom to beat Preston .

Do we have any family jewels?

I dont think we will have to worry to much about the transfer windows opening from now on , i doubt even the better teams in the Championship would come knocking . -
Oh damn it!, only 5?

Grant said the 2nd half was abysmal , so was he out of order for telling the truth wiz ? -
Chris Brown - Goalscorer or Money Wasted?

Slightly worrying that 2 of our 3 main strikers seem to find scoring difficult and i cannot see Dublin weighing in with many either , still time to make that bid for Riordan . -
No nothing to stop you doing that , the bookies will just be hoping one of the other 16 teams wins the league and they get their hands on your £80 .

Everton to beat Wigan .

Ipswich were better than us last season and have not lost any players let alone 3 of their best so if we have gone backwards they will again finish above us .As for Bristol City and Blackpool their performances in the FA cup last season shows they may not be that far behind us , so many people on here still think we are a major force in this division and that just is not the case we have been nothing more than below average since our relegation.
