1.  I don''t think it''s his [MLJ] ability which people are questioning, it''s just the frustration - everyone knew he was injury prone and the likelyhood was, we would only get half a dozen games out of him a season, keeping Steady Eddie would have been a better option.
 2. Torquay away, that sounds a cracker! never mind a car, coach or train - I''m gonna crawl there on my hands and knees, lets hope my trip/effort wont be wasted! cos we''ll be sure to win away - wont we?
 3.
Never go back, unless it''s Nielsen, Helveg or Martin O''Neill :)
Or Martin Peters who at 76 is still 10 years ahead of anything Ive seen at Carrow Rd
 4. So if we have a damn good squad already why do we play dire football then  Mr Munby?
 5.

BIG ISSUE? if things don''t improve Worthington will be selling the Big Issue on the streets of Norwich!
Can you explain John, what effect your post has had on the topic, becasue if the answer is none at all, then why make it?
Sorry I was just trying to add a bit of light-heartedness, I think we all are fully aware of all the issues, not that I''m against people repeating them several times. When you''re chewin'' on loife''s grissle. Don''t grumble, give a whistle ...  In future tho Rossi, I promise to be more deadpan and serious and will keep my posts pertinent and correlated at all times
 6. Outplayed by Sweden but between 9pm and 11pm it''s always very hot in Germany! and Sweden are used to playing in extreme high temperature, it must be scorching in Stockholm plus Sweden had 17 players behind the ball and their World class player who plays in the reserves at Sheff Wed made all the difference! Cant wait for the explanations  when Norwich kick off, the excuses are  becoming so entertaining I think I will have to become a KTFer myself!
 7. Sorry Mac, my post wasn''t aimed at you, it just appeared under your post and appeared that way, it was actually aimed at KTFers in general who refuse to accept any criticism of the England or Norwich management even after poor performances against inferior opposition, even after glearingly obvious tactical mistakes have been made they would rather blame the weather or  make out  the rank outside opposition were packed with World class players!
 8. Ok I get it - as long we don''t play anyone better than Paraguay  and we don''t have to play in heat of more than 15 degrees and we don''t have to play any country with a climate of more than 20 degrees -  England will win the world cup. I just love the KTF''s logic Perhaps if Norwich play all their 46 games at home next season and don''t play any team better than Peterborough Worthington might keep his job. Perhaps Brazil will learn an important lesson and play hoof football in 2010 Or perhaps we should get real here and accept England were very poor during their first two games and Norwich have also been very poor for two complete seasons - why pretend any different?
 9.

What does the other striker''s height have to do with whether Cole was played out of position? Does Owen regularly play alongside a 6''7" target man? An irrelevancy -
With a  6''7"striker most teams tend to fashion their tactics accordingly, you probably think it''s irrelevent because you watch Norwich, who play as if they have a 7''3" striker when they actually have a 4''10" striker
Are you sure Earnie is 4''10" John? my mate is Welsh and swears he''s 3''9" he also swears Worthy suffers from Dyscalculia, which according to Taffy means Worthy thinks Earnie is 9''3"
 10.
"At the end of the day, whether you agree or not, Nigel is the football expert at this Club, with more than 20 years playing experience in the top division and international level. He also holds the top qualification for coaching in Europe."
With all those qualifications and experience it kinda begs the question - why is he such a poor manager but then I guess it''s the same with any trade group - all doctors hold a similar qualification to each other but you still have good doctors and bad ones - Harold Shipman was qualified  doctor wasn''t he, Nigel is a qualified coach
 11.
Sven didn''t "play people out of position" - Cole is well used to playing there - and the substitutions were sensible.
So Cole plays alongside a big man up front regularly does he?  - the tactics were poor, in fact very poor which I think is why several people made a direct link with Worthington but most worrying of all is Sven appeared to be taking advice from McClaren! which doesn''t bode well for the future. As for the "sensible substitutions" you are going to be extremely pushed to find anyone other than blahblah of course, who would actually agree with that line
 12.
You seem to be very adept at throwing a bunch of negative comments together without backing them up, as if putting them all together gives them some form of credibility : Sitting too deep for who ?  We appear to have won the match, would you rather that our players exhaust themselves looking for a second goal and get caught late on, as happened to Japan ? Playing poor tactics - how were they poor ?  Making the wrong substitutions - How were they wrong ? Which players played out of position ?  The fact is we won.  No-one will care how we won once we out of the group stages.  I would expect us to play better in cooler conditions, and against teams that play a more open game.  We''ll have to see.
I take it that you didn''t actually watch the game then blahblah?
 13. I think there are two very worrying aspects here, the first one is - it doesn''t matter that you have the best 22 players England can produce [and they are very good] if the manager is totally inept, the 22 extremely talented players wont overcome the managers ineptness.    Norwich have a similar size squad of very average players and an inept manager, what chance do they have?    The second thing which worries me, from England''s point of view at least, is that every time the camera swung over to Sven, he seemed to be taking advice from McClaren!! I pray I''m wrong here and good ole Steve was actually trying to talk Sven out of making the  Worthington style errors which took place.
 14. Spot on Herb - Englands big mistake could be Norwich''s big opportunity!
 15. Just heard yesterday that Martin O''Neil was interviewed for the England job and he would have accepted it, if offered to him. Can''t help but feel England have screwed up on this one, I had the same level of disappointment at the hearing  Steve McLaren was to be England boss as I did with the appointment of Worthington at Norwich. The Martin O''Neil interveiw yesterday just makes it a whole lot worse
 16.

Also may I add Crow did not score for 8 games initially at Peterborough, he since has been scoring reguarly
Yes you may add that. How about also adding that if Worthington had selected him and he didn''t score for 8 games you''d have been calling him and Worthington every name under the sun. You hypocrisy is astounding, frankly.
Ashton played [with Hux!!] and didn''t score for 11 games or 16.5 hours, I don''t recall anyone calling him every name under the sun, they quite rightly laid the blame where it belonged
 17. Sorry but having a Hotel pitchside in a football stadium is ridiculous especially when more seats are required, if it''s so expensive and non   viable to have a seated infill then why did they bother to infill the other corners, have a hotel within the ground by all means but the pitchside of the stadium should be for seats only.
 18. A hypothetical question I know but even if we could get the best manager in the world to replace Worthington how long would it take to sort the Worthington mess out?   My guess is at least one whole season, I don''t want to talk up a real downer but that means it could be 2008 before we see decent football at Carrow Rd!
 19. A good player but should be seen as a squad player, who can be used to  make a reasonable difference when fully fit, which would be about 10 or 12 games a season
 20.
I think we should consider putting a second tier on the city stand now. This is not an endorsement of ground before players but an opinion based on some sense. Pros 1. Will it be cost effective - Yes delaying a decision could add millions to the build e.g.s Wembley (comprared to Millenium!), Jarrold Stand i.e. delaying corner infill ultimately cost more 2. Look and feel - It will balance the stadium - city stand looks out of place and of lower division capacity 3. Atmoshpere improved 4. Ticket demand met 5. We still have some prem money  6. We are 15th best supported club in UK - yes yes I know only stats but even with increase less than 10%  of alleged fanbase Cons 1. Increase debt - but possibly within managable levels 2. Risk of not filling - low to medium and depends on performance but see points 3 and 6 above to mitgate 3. Impact to buying players - the two should and can be separate - solution sell-off remaining land If it is inevitable that we do it why delay lets get it done...and it should add an extra 5 thousand seats which I think would be at the stadium level this club should be at. Be interested to canvass opinion..
You raise some interesting and debateable questions, obviously there are two schools of thought here, those who think we should wait until we are established in the Prem first and those who feel we should do it now. If we wait until we are in Prem we will be playing in front of 16000 for a season when that figure could be double if we were to do it now, it will take a bold decision from the board which raises another question - are they capable of cutting the mustard when it comes to making important decisions? the evidence so far suggests otherwise
 21. It looks like Worthington will still be in place for next season, so with this in mind if you could pick one area he needs to improve on to become a better manager, what would it be, I know we are spoilt for choice here but only one suggestion each please - I''ll kick of with a personal favourite - his total inability to recognise that midfield is where  games are won or lost, yeah I know there are better ones but that''s the one which gripes me most because he just doesn''t get it. So whats yours?
 22. Proplem is a Cardiff team with Koumas and Francis would run rings around us so lets not get too smug about it
 23. I know on this board we have get rid of W at all costs and at the other end of the spectrum keep him for another full season - but I seem to be getting the message from some ktf ers that finishing 7th would be an indication of  - not a bad season after all!!!!!!!!!!! Surely finishing 7th or 17th is total  failure however much gloss you put on it?
 24.
My instinctive feelings when we were 2-0 down was ''here we go again''...mixed with ''good this could be the beginning of the end''. My instinctive feelings when we finally won were of incrdulity and I confess disappointment...because it means the end might not now come. Anybody else have those feelings? Should i feel guilt?
Have to agree with you Manchester, a win today was a bad result when you look at the bigger picture - we may have to put up with dross football for another season before his sorry @rse is eventually sacked
 25.

It should be remembered that Crow was shown the door because Worthy didn''t or couldn''t manage Crow''s cocky attitude, not because he lacked talent, It obviously takes management skills Worthington doesn''t posess to handle players other than ''Yes Men'' Perhaps Worthington should have a chat with Mark Hughes and ask him how he controls players like Bellamy, Savage and Bently, the latter and former both being players Worthington couldn''t handle. I''m not suggesting Crow was in the same league as Bellamy but part of football management involves dealing with cocky little sh1ts and getting the best out of them - Mark Hughes style!
Could you possibly enlighten me as to when Worthington managed Bellamy?
Yes, if you want enlightening you''ve come to the right place, I think you will find Worthington was part of the management team when Bellamy was at Norwich, brought in by Brian Hamilton, as his assistant  to help manage the players on the training pitch, for the record Brian Hamilton was also renowned for his poor choice of imports - he got his players wrong so why would he get his assistant right? ok enlightening session over.
Oh I see, Worthington couldn''t handle Bellamy when he was Joint Assistant Manager.  Right I get you.  Thanks for enlightening me on that.  So what you are saying is for the 19 days Worthy was at the club at the same time as Bellamy he could not handle him.  That''s a good enough reason to sack him now in 2006.
Sorry Saint but you asked me with a touch of sarcasm - "Could you possibly enlighten me when Worthington managed Bellamy" I just answerered your question with some true facts, if you want to debate the amount of time Worthington managed Bellamy, or which position Worthington held within the management team, well that''s another question all together. The point I was making and you seem to miss, is that Worthington struggles to deal with players with big or difficult personalities, when you consider  many young players have this problem it goes with out saying, that this managerial shortcoming is one more inadequacy to add to the growing list
I fully understand and agree with what you are saying.  He lets personality clashes affect his judgement.  Case in point was Bentley last year, he was starting to settle into the side and looked promising, only to be dropped for having a laugh in training.  There are other players he has clearly fallen out with to the detriment of the team. All I am saying is I don''t really think it''s fair to use Bellamy as example, they probably only spoke a couple of times and Bellamy would have known he was leaving anyway.  There is a big enough list anyway!
Point taken and accepted Saint, although it may appear I was trying to grasp any old stick to beat Worthington with, I feel his man management skills are an area of valid concern
