  1. I didn''t think Thorne''s injury record was a problem, he was just rubbish full stop!  Fair enough he might have had a few injuries, but he played in more than enough games to make a difference.  Whatever Iversen''s injury record was like I''m sure even if he only played 5 games he''d be more useful than Thorne ever was!
  2. After last night, will Charlton, Barnsley, Plymouth, Blackpool, Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday (who all lost) fans be moaning like we are on here?  I doubt it...  Blackpool lost on Saturday like we did and I''m sure they''re not. Yes we''ve had 4 seasons of failure, but Norwich have been dreadful in cup competitions for years even when they were a bit successful - like playoffs and when we won the league - so I don''t see how it is relevant to the league. If we win Saturday I think the balls will start rolling.  If we lose I will become slightly concerned but remember last season West Brom lost 2 out of the first 3 games and won the league still - if we still haven''t won in 5 league games I will be a bit worried.
  3. Fozzy is average, not poor but not great either. He needs to calm down a bit he was lucky not to get sent off... Like once he thought he was fouled and as he went down, kicked out at the player with both legs which fortunately wasn''t seen by the officials... And when every decision against Norwich was given he went straight to the ref shouting his head off. Reminds me a bit like an angry headless chicken.
  4. CID - I did say "I think it''s wrong but it''s the way it is". I completely agree with you but that''s the state of the game these days and much though I hate it, getting touched slightly and going down is likely to get you a penalty....  And if our player hadn''t touched him there would never have been an issue, never the chance to go down.
  5. I''m sure there are plenty of Premiership players with no Championship experience - so you wouldn''t want them.  Strange. I don''t see the obsession with money - Kevin Doyle was a ''cheap, unproven player'' bought from Ireland for Reading at less than 100k, wouldn''t mind him now would you Wiz?  Obviously generally the more you pay the more quality you''ll get, but that''s not always the case. Do me a favour Wiz, please give the player whoever it is a chance before slating him.
  6. I was there, at the front row, ours wasn''t a penalty I don''t think Hoolahan was brought down really, just seemed to me he ran out of places to go.  And although it''s hard to tell from our end and the distance of the camera from where there one was given, it looked very soft, definitely not a penalty.  However - it was stupid and foolish of Clingan to touch the player - if you''re near the box thats the last thing anyone should do as the player will probably go down, however weak the touch is.  If he''s been touched he''s got the right to go down (I think that''s wrong but it''s the way it is).
  7. Colney you can''t blame the ref - we had enough chances just unfortunately couldn''t take them.
  8. You negative lot might complain about the positive lot for the way they don''t debate and are overly positive.... But you negative lot are just as bad for the opposite reason - you''re overly  negative and don''t debate with those who have positive views!
  9. I have to agree there Wiz, as a wheelchair bound person myself  the effort the club put in for disabled supporters is first class.  To be fair Manchester United''s facilities are first class too.
  10. They go well together, Nuts and an Ipswich supporter - perfect combination!
  11. Andy D''Urso. God help us, winning now will be an even greater achivement than it was before.
  12. Trevor Benjamin David Nielsen* Andy Roberts Leigh Bromby David Healy Nicky Southall Elvis Hammond Kevin Harper* Peter Crouch* Darren Huckerby* Kevin Cooper* David Bentley* Callum Davenport* Dickson Etuhu* Jonaton Johansson Carl Robinson Kevin Lisbie Dean Marney David Wright* Zesh Rehmann Patrick Boyle Lee Camp IMO, the only ones that really did anything while they were here are the ones starred....  So that''s 9 loans successful, 13 that weren''t.  But obviously that''s only my opinion.
  13. Thing is though, we were better then.  Both of us were in the top flight playing each other twice a season.  These days the gulf in class is simply enormous, you can''t compare the passing on Monday to that of arguably some of Norwich''s greatest ever teams!
  14. Now don''t get me wrong, Marshall made several mistakes last night - and is by no means perfect.  But he''s 23, not peaked.  And I''m certain he was rated the 3rd best Keeper in the league with his opta stats - I''d trust them more than any of us.
  15. To be fair Jas, I have once crossed enemy lines, saw Ipswich play QPR on a day we weren''t playing - they lost and were poor, but D''Urso was rubbish.  I''d say ITFC fan he probably hates Norwich too - never seen him be fair to us when we''ve played either. Or mayb it''s just that he''s poor full stop!!!  I''ve never known him have a good game.
  16.   I worry about the repercussions of this - what will happen to Delia now... I don''t want protests or angry scenes but anything could happen, she''s dug herself (as well as the rest of the board) into a potentially bigger hole than before. Having said that, I''m sure that''s what Cullum hoped would happen by using the media the way he has which maybe hasn''t helped. But that guy seemed to fit her criteria, but I think she only made them criteria thinking nobody would ever come forward! "The only way we would relinquish our shares is if somebody is going to put money into the football....Only if they put money into the squad - not if they buy our shares, we don''t want money. It has to be that there is money for the squad, serious money for the squad." - Delia Smith, Jan ''07
  17. To think the Hammers only got a 5.5m fine last year for their offences (I know they are different circumstances, and events).  You know full well had what happened to Luton happened to a Premier League club (albeit they''d be relegated to champ) or a ''decent'' London club it wouldn''t have been anywhere near as much as 20 points..
  18. I am not a Delia fan I''m as ''anti'' her as anyone when it comes to the football club, but.... If you''d invested money in something over several years, are those complaining about her telling me that they would give up and lose their investment for nothing?  IMO Delia is well within her rights to want some money back on her investment, which is all it is. If any of you have premium bonds or whatever, would you just give them away?  Probably not, they are worth something... Like Delia''s shares in NCFC. Neither her/Michael or Peter Cullum are stupid, they are not going to give anything away for nothing!
  19. From todays EDP - now on the news part of the website Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones issued a brief statement last night in response to news of the EDP''s interview with Mr Cullum, but without knowing the full details of its content. They also declined to answer questions at this stage. The statement said: “Over the last 12 years we have continually invited and sought new investment into Norwich City and have spoken to a number of wealthy individuals. Some have approached us, others we have approached. “However, it''s fair to assume that with the welcome exception of Andrew and Sharon Turner, that none of those approaches has been successful to date. We can not comment on any individual approaches as they would normally be a private matter. “All of us want only that the football club succeeds and therefore remain totally open to any new investment in the club.”
  20. Well maybe she thought she''d stall, see if it got round the ''business'' world and if anyone else wanted to invest with more.  Or thought they had enough money to back Roeder to keep us up last year (which they did - it was close I accept but all that matters is that we did stay up) and now if he took over there''s £20m instead of £15m. I''m sure they will accept, it''s for the good of the club.  Especially as PC wants them still involved. If they don''t, just imagine the reaction of fans. But after what she said at the Norfolk Show, and this, suggests it will be accepted.
  21. I''m so curious, could you email me with the info you have, Ardee?  You have my word too -  I''m benp_rules@hotmail.com
  22. Hey, is anyone having trouble getting on it?  I''ve not been able to get on it for 2 days, I''ve got a feeling it''s just me though.  I log in, and then it does the secure bit, and goes straight back onto the login page (with that esupporters thing or wateva its called) but says I''m logged in on the top!
  23. I think he''s getting confused with Thomas Gaardsoe, who WBA signed in 03 from ITFC, but has now retired due to injury I think.
