1.

if teams like southend can get shirts made by nike why can''t we? nike''s brazil shirts are always cutting edge and quality. whereas our xara attempts are second rate. personally i say more yellow and less green.
Nike style Norwich shirt: (Had to guess with the sponsor - since FlyBe won''t be sponsoring Norwich next season)
That kit is immense, it also only took me 2 seconds to fall in love with it, with enough backing, do you reckon we could email this to the club as one of the possible designs? I don''t normally buy football kits as unless theyre really well designed its not worth the money (the only recent one ive bought is the barcelona orange away kit [;)] ) but i would definately buy that design!
2. thanks london canary! top stuff [:D] ...ah yes, how long ago it seems!
3. does anyone know where i can buy the dvd for either/both of the following... 2003/4 Promotion winning season 2004/5 Premier league season Many thanks
4. I know theres quite a few of these posts, but most of them seem to just confirm that sky arent showing it, which i think is common knowledge now, Ive also seen the link to a few peer-2-peer websites, but due to a slow interent connection this will not be viable anyone know any pubs showing the game via norwegian/swedish/mongolian satellite? thanks for your help
5. FAO Barclay_Boy, That post quite frankly is utter rubbish.. Steve Bennet is one of the best referees we have at the moment. Maschreno didn''t deserve that yellow card?! so he goes sliding in at pace with both feet and scholes nicks it away from him and hence mascerano completely misses the ball, its one of the most dead-certain yellow cards your''e ever see...As for the Torres booking, yes it may have been a tad harsh but it doesnt give mascherano an excuse to run 20 yards like a bulldog to make his point, his team-mate alonso showed exactly what to do and even tried to restrain him, he lost his head, simple as...Previously to this he had had 2 or 3 ''mis-timed tackles'' and 2 or 3 more nibbles at the ref when he knew he was on a yellow-card, you simplu can''t do this And lastly you clearly have a thing against ref''s (who admittely are nobodys best friends on the pitch whether playing or watching) but to say they''re left ''with a lifetime of bitterness'' is quite funny to be hones...and just for the record, one of the best players we had way back when during my time at school is now a ref, and surely after being school captain, he didnt turn to be a ref to get a ''please take a notice of me'' attitude :)
6. ''Riverside car park'' Yeah thats the best bet, then after the game to avoid waiting in traffic you  might as well go see a film, it''ll cost about £6 to watch the film, but you pay something like £3.70 to park anyway, and if you get your parking ticket stamped at the cinema, your parking is free anyway...
7. i myself have always and will always be a norwich supporter, with my first game being the last game in the premiership back in 1995, but i think these days there is alot more norwich fans wearing the shirt at a younger age and theyre will always be fans that claim to be arsenal fans or man utd fans, but theyre fans not supporters..but at the same time you can every know and then get a proper ''big 4'' fan, a bloke a year older then me used to and still does go (despite being born and bred in norfolk) to anfield, he has a season-ticket there, and never fails going home(anfield) or away, ''away'' often being closer then the home matches! and this includes, carling cup, fa cup, the premier league and even europe, including some dodgy places such as turkey
8. i actually agree with what ''San Miguel'' has written i''m afraid, although i do like ur name Mr Horn ;).. When were in the premiership we love all the coverage we get and all the media attention and seeing your team more often on the bbc football focus or sky sports for example, though when were in the ''championship'' we all bemoan how much coverage the premiership gets, and how the lower leagues hardly get any attention, its classic human instincts if u havent got something youve had and liked before, your''e envious of those that have if you have got it, then you take it for granted and always want more
9. just single handly ruined my accumulator as well :@...i had to win palace, blackburn, hull, carlisle, doncaster, leeds and ....charlton who would have thought it after losing to palace at home on tuesday night 1-0, chris brown pops up with a double, grrrrrr..theyre goes a potential £120
10. 27mins  - cureton on for mo camara ;)
11. Nuff said.... I can see where youre coming from regarding dublin''s performance, but as i stated in my original thread for this topic, i marked him for his ATTACKING performance..if i was marking him for his defensive duty he probably would have got a ''7'' as he did make some vital headers but at the same time, also lost shittu for their goal..but this is besides the point, haha! As a striker youre on the pitch mainly for 3 reasons a) Essentially score goals b) assist / set up goals c) hold the ball up to bring the midfield into the game and although usually he does atleast 2 of these a match, at watford he failed to do any
12.   Wasn''t he number 2 for the majority of time, only behind to arthur boruc, who lets face it could easily play for the big boys in europe, so no mean thing to play second fiddle to him Yes Marshall does have his faults like any young pro, such as the points youve made about him not commanding his area, but he is also a top goalie on his day and the fact that his rise up those stupid rankings has ''coincidded'' with our good run is not pure coincidence now is it? I personally think doherty has had alot to with our recent good defence (bar leicester) got alot of stick earlier in the season, myself included but under glenn roeder for the majority has playd really well
13. just got back from the match and normally as an exile i like to look at other peoples player ratings as it helps you get a better idea of the match, so here''s my pennys worth Marshall - 7 - made a good save from ellington before the goal and was not really at fault for the goal from shittu but really needs to learn to command his defence, still a real worry Camara - 5 - and this is being generous, he was frankly awful and if he was carrying an injury it showed, constantly out of position and losing his marker in the first halve Pearce - 6 - didnt make any glaring mistakes and made some good tackles but like most in the first halve, was simply not tighter enough to henderson and ellington Doherty - 8 - the best in a very poor bunch in the first halve, and commanding second halve to match, won most headers against a very tall, phsyical watford side, read the game better then pearce as you would expect with the 2 varying experience levels Valesco - 7 - a mixed bag, in the first halve once more was found wanting for pace from a not especially quick mcanuff and at times seemed reluctant to make the tackle with no support for croft, second halve much better though, linked better with croft and made over-lapping runs and generally defended better Plastic - 7 - i was looking forward to seeing him for the first time after mainly rave reviews on here, and he pretty much had the same game as valesco, some sloppy passes and ineffective tackle in the first halve, but showed his quality in the second with some great link up touches and kept that side of watford quiet in the second Fozzy - 7 - once again, we had no midfield in the first halve, the game seemed to bypass them, but did his usual and got stuck in but for me sat well too deep, practially on top of peace and doherty, made better runs though in the second Patterson - 6 - i really would like to see this bloke succedd, but everytime ive seen him play (about 5 times now) the bloke just cannot seem to even make the simpliest of passes to his team-mates, yes his work-rate was good and like most he did improve as the game went on, but on tonite display would not be in the team for too long Croft - 4/8 - another complete jekyll and hyde performance from croft, in the first he might as well not have been on the pitch, i dont even think he touched the ball more then a few times....he must have got a personal talking to at half-time, because in the second was a complete revelation, he inspired the team and fans with some great surging runs, attacking the core of the watford defence and set up cureton for the goal..just wish he could do it for 90 mins! Dublin - 5 - i see the pinkun have sung his plaudits in the report, but i am marking him for his role in which he was placed today, a striker. He''s been brilliant this season, and yes did win some vital headers in defence, but upfront his passes were worse then pattersons and he simply couldnt get going bar one half-effort in the first, didnt really link well with evans either Evans - 6 - this player clearly has class and will go on to better things but still at the learning stage at the moment, he threatens to be a real-class player but at the moment is making the wrong decisions when in good, match-changing positions..up against a very good shittu tonite and it showed, but still showed plenty of effort Subs: Shackell - 7 - not sure why he came on for pearce, but done his job well and kept watford at bay Cureton - 8 - for the little time he was on the pitch, he was a great player to bring on, helped carry our attacking threat with evans, croft and bertrand..and took his goal extremely well, just on the edge of the area, first time shot past lee..clearly beginning to get his confidence back semmy - 6 - didnt really have much impact on the game On a side note, watford as everyone knows are a strong, phsyical side...but i feel sorry for their fans as literally every attacking oppurtunity arose from a long hoof up field, getting the free-kick and then attacking from set-pieces, effective in this division it is but should they go up to the premier will get ripped apart once more
14. were comin up from canterbury for the game tonite, i presume you can buy tickets on the gate? and will be easy to get tickets? also like a few people before have said, any decent places to park? thanks
15. yeah, for some reason in recent years, coventry''s burberry brigade has risen and risen, theres a large group to the right of the away section as for the stadium, its obviusly has good views but im afriad its very generic bowl design...oh and make sure the coaches arrive on time if you take them, 2 or 3 years back we arrvied 10minutes late, were escorted under this subway, literally walked into the ground and bang! gary mcsheffrey scored, haha!
16. so it looks like roeder will be given the chance to spend big next year (according to mumby''s reports, and presuming were still in the championship), im just a little worried about roeders ''second-season-syndrome'' he seems to have at all his previous clubs, but he''s done a great job so far and may it continue   p.s cant people just agree to disagree with people on this board, haha! of course everyone has their own opinion(and rightly so), hence why its a forum... and please stick to the thread, thanks
17. http://new.eveningnews24.co.uk/content/Sport/story.aspx?brand=ENOnline&category=Sport&tBrand=ENOnline&tCategory=Sport&itemid=NOED21%20Feb%202008%2010%3A17%3A10%3A530 Very interesting article in the evening news, basically Mark Fotheringham states that he has already been contacted by several clubs about his avaibility when his contract runs out in June... He has stated that ''he loves the clubs and crowds we get'' and would like to sign a new deal, but has urged the board of directors to give Roeder the cash to make a good premier league promotion campaign..and if not he will sign somewhere else ................... Its interesting that the manager and coaches defintaely have the backing of all the players it seems but once more the board might be looking to be prudent..time to spend big?
18.

No, just an early KO becuase of the Six Nations game with Wales....
i find it rediculous.. they dont re schedule games in England to co incide with the rugger do they?  its just because Wales are crap at football ;) jas :)
Or it could be because two matches would be played in the same city with 4 different sets of supporters, contributing to a total crowd of 100,000+ people either going to the game or watching in the pubs....hence creating a head-ache for the police and thats even before cardiffs reputation comes into place
19.
Yeah thanks for that, really interesting, you do know what today is don''t you?
Thats a harsh comment... the bloke is atleast talking about something ncfc related unlike some of the stuff on here these days, and yes although it is exciting to hear transfer news, i would also be excited if our kit was made by canterbury next year, theyve made excellent rugby shirts through the years, and now theyre starting to roll into the football market
20.
In the 2002 season NCFC had a squad which cost about £4m to assemble, we did well, got to the play-offs and the club made an overall profit for the year without any big player sales. In 2004 the club had a squad which cost about £4m to assemble and we got promoted and the club made a big loss-mainly down to having a three-sided ground. We have since promotion received about £32m in tv money. We have also sold players for the sum of about £18m. Yet we still have a squad which cost about £4m to assemble, we are struggling and apparently need a £2m loan plus millions in profit on selling players to keep afloat. Doesn`t really paint a picture of a very well-run club does it?
haha! im sorry, but you really cant possibly sum up a multi-million business by looking at those very basic figures and assumptions... i can see where you and alot of fans are annoyed at the ''apparent'' lack of funds, but without knowing the ins and out of a business, you simply cant judge whether the club is well ran or not... im not saying your wrong or right, just saying you need to know the income and expenses of the business a little more to know
21. This bloke has got to have scored the best ever own goal, lets hope he''s instructing his players to do the same ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pw9zOHHK7kM for those who haven''t seen it (and there''s not many!)... he basically attempts to clear a looping ball thats been pumped into the box, only he swings his leg, it smacks him in the face and blazes past his goalie... has to be seen to be beleived
22.
this has been going round for a couplr of weeks now,but in last night press it was  reported that bcfc would accept a bid of £750,000 for tiny from ncfc,
what?! if im right, im pretty sure we bid £750,000 for him in the first place?! and it was duly turned down as QPR offered £1million, and even after taylor stated he didnt want to go to QPR, our bid was still turned down... so yes, possibly near the end of the window we might be able to nab him for that figure (providing ipswich or others dont agree personal terms) but i cant see that price being accepted during the initial stages of the window.... though of course i''m happy to be proved wrong!
23. according to reports he has now indeed signed, and NCFC are just waiting for the necessary paper-work and visa related agreements to be rubber stamped, this has been reported in a bulgarian press report and also a russian report interestingly... here''s a link to the news http://www.newsnow.co.uk/newsfeed/?name=Norwich+City
24. I have it on good knowledge that ipswich town have put in a bid which has thought to have been accepted by Karen Brady''s Birminghim City... Apparently unlike us, town (on mr evans as the case is) has put up the required £1million needed to talk personal terms.. looks like glenn needs to make a decision sooner rather then later, and with this iliev bloke possibly coming in, it looks like he has already made the decision i''ll guess we shall see how much taylor really wanted to come to us
25. a good topic this one, and im basing this like the post says ''over the past few months'' and not years gone by Over-rated: Cureton - without a doubt for me, yes he works hard and he wants to play for this club but he simply hasnt got the quality im afraid, this year he has really struggled with some pretty basic scoring chances, which if thats what you mainly get paid for in your career is pretty shocking im afraid Shackell - though many people are now starting to see this one.. he seemed to play well with taylor and likes to get stuck in but some of his passing and decision making is average at times, he''s not our worse player (far from it) but too over-hyped for m Pattison - controversial this one, but everytime ive seen a game that he''s been playin in he''s had a shocker!, clearly he had a good game at palace by all accounts but is he really as marvellous as roeder rants on about?! time will tell i guess Under-rated: Im struggling with this one, as we tend to be optimists as fans and it doesnt take a lot for us to appreciate a halve decent player but.. Fotheringham - it seems when we play without him, were a much poorer side.. mainly passing wise, so perhaps he gets a nod Mo Camara - yes he mad that glaring mistake at colchester, but other then that he''s been rock solid imo and has been great cover for drury.. its normally the full-backs that are under-appreciated, so he''s a mention for mo. The Fans - to get 24,000+.. practically sell-outs when your team is playing poor/average compared with expectations, and your lingering near the bottom of the league deserves huge credit, how many other teams would do that in this league?
