  1. So much for a new striker, just read we are testing the water with a £4.5 million bid, so much for Monday and Friday''s, we want a striker same old story!!!!
  2. In the grand scheme of things, so far we have probably spent a total of 15 million including wages. We stand to gain nearly £120 million, with the money going up if you stay up and down even more than previous seasons if you go down, so whats £13 million, its peanuts in the world of the premier league, its a drop in the ocean. Someone quote earlier in the thread, he''s a one season wonder, but would rather have someone who has been there and done for £13 million, than someone for maybe £10 Million who hasn''t and may flop as RVW has done. 20 Days to go someone said, but its been nearly three months since the momentous day at Wembley, and every day is a day less, this happens in every transfer window, why we don''t know, we all guess we say nobody would come to Norwich, they go anywhere if you stomp up the cash and get the deal done, they''ll kiss the badge for a large enough amount of cash, so get a move on.
  3. AN wants a striker by Sunderland (Quote) Its Wednesday, nothing even mentioned, so if we get anybody now will have maybe one or possibly two days with the squad, so unlikely to feature on Saturday. So many names, so little activity, a CB is also a must.
  4. Russell Martin needs replacing, and a left back, even with Olsson back were still short in that area, want Brady up the pitch, Oh and a decent striker please.
  5. CB is a must, Martin not good enough for this level struggled in the championship at times, and after yesterday proves it even more, Bassong always has a mistake in him, they struggled with Andre Grey.Bennett with someone of a good standard might improve, Turner should be offloaded. Would like Van Dijk, but what about Johhny Evans has the experience unlikely to get in at Utd? Left back to allow Brady to get further up the park, not a bad start yesterday, Marcus Alonso mentioned would be ok and a good addition to the squad. Striker, Jerome may be ok not proven, Grabban can''t finish, Hooper not proven, RWV who knows, we''ve missed out on Lambert and Gestede - Mbokani. Whatever we need to splash the cash and bring players of a better quality, at worst we''ve spent 15 million so far including wages, get the cheque book out and don''t wait until the next window like we''ve done before, it will cost us we have a chance at the start to put some points on the board. Fingers crossed Mulumbu is OK we made need a midfielder as well!
  6. 100% all Norwich fans want what''s best for NCFC, so the question is sack him or back him. Sack him. Yes the management team of CH is negative and very inconsistent without getting the full potential from some players, but it would cost probably an awful lot to sack him, and potentially a large sum for a new management team, including money to spend on players. We are currently twelfth in the league and there are eight teams worse than us as we stand. Will they be any better! Back him. I am not convinced by CH by a long shot, but I believe that even under his charge with new additions to the squad with the money we save from sacking him and acquiring a new one, would benefit. The players I am suggesting are without doubt to be better than what we already have, so Right back, Centre Back, Centre midfield (somebody who can pass a ball to our players creativity) and replacements for anybody who wants to leave I.e. Hoolahan or Snodgrass supposedly and any that are not good enough and could be replaced endless list. So what''s your thoughts?
  7. I read a number threads today reference yesterdays game, we signed some good players this season, but we lack in certain areas and these need to be corrected or we will end up not much better than last season. So to summarise, The back four, centre backs lack ability, Garrido is dreadful. Midfield lack of movement, cant pass a ball, no improvement from last season Tettey awful and Johnson mediocre. Attack, will not score as per last season without service, same problem new season. We still need a better quality centre back, a midfielder who can pass and spread and split the play, and another striker for who can drop of the font man and link play.
  8. We all know that so far it''s been a very good summer for signings for a very long time, but we would all like another CB & Striker then it becomes an excellent summer and a season we can all look forward too. Onwards and Upwards
  9. The guy who played at number 6 yesterday for Pana, looked a very decent player and could thread a nice pass, anyone know what his name was, seeing him play would be worth a punt!
  10. Well New Boy, no I didn''t see the Portland game, and take your comments on board, based on what you said about Olsson, and me thinking he was Left Back cover, maybe my left sided midfielder needs to be LB then!!!
  11. Redmond''s left foot is for standing on only. The attacking midfielder Olsson who plays left back has scored something like 5 goals for Blackburn in six years, and his assist record is not very good either. Right Midfield and Left Back yeah good. So I assume you don''t agree with any of my first comments that we still need more to add to the squad? we all have our opinions.
  12. To play at left back and right midfield, or do you think they will play at centre back and goal keeper. Olsson is a left back, Redmond is a right sided player.
  13. Good call, keep it going David, more please before the season starts
  14. I believe that we have done some very good business so far this summer, but there is still areas that should be strengthened, then it would go from very good to brilliant. Best close season for a very long time. 1. Even with Hooper another striker. (Permanent) 2. Quality Centre Back (Permanent) 3. Left Midfield with pace (Possible Loan) What''s your thoughts?
  15. To improve and be successful football is a ruthless game, he has kept us up, but would not be surprised if we had a new manager come the start of next season. Sitting on the fence a little heart says give him the chance for next season, head says a new man to take us forward is the answer. But most importantly today we are and are still a premier league side, the board will do the right thing!
  16. We are Norwich City and well accept that!
  17. We all want what''s best for NCFC. Just getting overly concerned that if we do nothing and don''t bring in two or three quality players, we all maybe watching the football league show again next season.
  18. It''s a good response regarding Swansea, my point was that a club of a similar stature to us is able to sign players of a better standing than us, but then most of the other PL teams are also. One day
  19. I have been a supporter of Norwich City for over 40 years, a season ticket holder for 30 of those years and will continue to do so through thick and thin, but it does not stop me wanting my club to grow a pair of bollocks and seek to get better. Or should we accept that we are all like you and think everything''s wonderful and we should be satisfied with what we are and will always be.
  20. What''s unfair? We are supposedly nearly debt free, and still cannot compete for players signatures after two seasons in the premier league and a pot of gold at the end of the season. Just remind me why you think it''s unfair, Swansea came up with us with a similar structure to Norwich and in the same period are now streets ahead of us.
  21. One of the most disappointing things that has occurred in this window is CH going public and stating we had made bids for Hooper & Graham, you just knew from that moment we would end up with players that nobody else wants. I dislike Lambert immensely for how he left us, but when he was here the first we knew of a player signing was when it was nearly done and dusted.
  22. Not surprised, it already appears that our dealings in the transfer market are resorting to a goalkeeper who has been released by a championship side and a reported bid for a striker that has scored 11 goals in the MLS wow. But why am I surprised! What''s different to any other transfer window.
