  1. Baywing, the injuries to Klose and Tettey were IMHO the main reason we were relegated that season. before that we were steadily picking up points. _ I know all teams have injuries but at the time those were crucial players for us.
  2. Absolutely RB and lets hope the majority show him the kind of respect he deserves tomorrow.
  3. Well I had shortlisted 3 and all 3 have been selected, now I don''t like not offering an alternative choice to the picker and so I''m now down to my 4th choice Coventry V Crawley Home win For the Norwich Bet I''ll stick with a Coventry theme and suggest Maddison to score first - it''ll be one of those free kicks. Good luck to our pickers this week.
  4. Interesting reading and the point about modern football is exactly how I feel, generally its dull and normally one team trying not to lose rather than both teams trying to win even for a team Like Man Utd. That said is changing the manager every time a team loses a couple of games in a row the answer for a club like ours ? I know it''s time for some people to panic, but does anybody really thing we will be relegated this season? if not then lets ride this sticky patch - it was only a few weeks back we were 9 games unbeaten. As for the apathy I can see this is taking over a lot of fans country wide, not just Norfolk. OTBC
  5. It''s not just Norwich Fans it''s a football thing, listen to any media and already they are talking about who should buy who and how much, and loads of people buy into it. The days of Fergerson, Shankly and Clough have gone. when manager were able to produced a team over a period of time, - I know the transfer window hasn''t helped this - now manager have a few games (Koeman 4 games!) to appease the fans. Now is the time for the board to let everybody know this is a long term plan and they will review the situation at Christmas next year. Go on board be brave. otherwise we have the knee jerk reaction one way or another after every win/loss.
  6. Plymouth under Jimmy Floyd have really picked up in form recently and are playing well above their current league position suggests Oxford on the other hand started the season very well but have faltered recently but still sit in comfortably in mid table so the odds are fairly generous on this one. Plymouth V Oxford Home win As for the match bet, I felt we needed a rest mentally as well as physically after the Ipswich & Arsenal games. so now it''s back to form and a 2-0 victory tomorrow and Jerome to get on the score sheet. Good luck pickers
  7. A very difficult week this week and so looking to offer a different selections i''ll go with current form. MK Dons have hit a sticky patch losing 3 of their last 5 games and drawing the other 2 are up against a Fleetwood side who have themselves just come through a lean period but started the season really well MK Dons V Fleetwood Away win As for the Mystery Guest - I''m going for Emma from The CSF? Good luck Purple - you might need it more than ever this week.
  8. To late for consideration but it''s memories of Ronnie Radford and Hereford to beat Telford in the cup As for the match bet, concerned about the lack of goals coming from our boys so another point on the road in a 1-1 draw. Good luck everybody.
  9. In time this week :-) Congratulations to both pickers last weekend a great effort. Sunderland V Bristol City Away win I can see the unbeaten league record going this weekend after the efforts of Sunday/Tuesday where as Derby have played Saturday. begrudgingly I''ll go for a Derby away win. ( and pray I''m wrong) Good luck to both pickers.
  10. Fair point Rhubarb, I just "assumed" this might have been written in the euphoria of a Derby victory, once we''ve played some of the better teams - I know we''ve beaten Middlesboro and Sheff Utd away which were excellent results, and I hope these continue - after Christmas is when the table really takes shape. Beat Derby and Wolves and we will be in the media focus for sure.
  11. I love optimism but just hang on a little - most would of taken mid table at the start of the year - after Derby and Wolves lets see where we really are. Ipswich haven''t beaten any of the top teams this year so not a result to get to excited about, in terms of promotion. But I agree things have been looking very upwards recently.
  12. Having seen both teams in action (on the telly) yesterday I''ll go for a changed Arsenal team to be just to good and go for a 2-0 defeat.
  13. Very sorry for the late picks - it''s becoming a habit 😣 Blackburn to beat Portsmouth for me today please Tomorrow will be tight and edgy - if Nelson is fully fit then I can see us nicking this 1- 0 Again apologises to the pickers for my late contribution but good luck to both.
  14. To the EFL 2 for me this week and Notts county who have recently had a little splutter of form - a loss away to well fancied Mansfield and a surprise home draw with FGR- having taken top spot should get back to winning ways against a very poor Barnet side and at even money may just boost the return. For the Match bet I''ll suggest that super sub Wildschut will score at some stage of proceedings. and as always good luck to Both picker.
  15. looks like we''re sitting pretty tonight and 2to go tomorrow, so fingers crossed. Sorry I didn''t posy in time this week - Ill go for Liverpool to beat Newcastle.
  16. It''s off to League one this week and a little bit of a safer bet than my previous 3 attempts Blackburn V Crewe Home win. For the match bet I''ll go for a score draw. Good luck pickers
  17. An away win for WBA this week Brighton V WBA away win For the match bet City Jerome to score in a home win (old team voodoo) Good luck pickers
  18. League 2 for me please and a difficult start for Grimsby may just get worse when an in form Crewe visit Grimsby v CREWE away win Good luck.
  19. Take the £12M buy the Waghorn and Garner from our neighbours -put £10m in the bank and then everybody would be happy
  20. Need some experience off the field to help on it, if we are to persevere with our young Gunn. Goalkeepers can be a massive help to the players in front if they talks to them - I''m not sure he does a lot of this? With the inexperience we find we have in front of him he''s part of the problem . The introduction of some experience like Handley might be a step in the right direction though.
  21. sorry a bit late this week I''m taking West Ham to put Rafa and his boys under more pressure on their return Newcastle v WHU away win As for the City bet, Morrison to score and Norwich to win. Good luck ZLF and Jellytot
  22. I normally try and find a different pick for our picker but this week I can''t see past Coventry beating Newport for exactly the reason put down by the previous pups who have picked it. Coventry v Newport Home win. For the City match I''d take a punt on 3-2 either way and split the bet.
  23. We could do with some (most) of the stands learning the words as this just clapping sounds like a slow hand clap at times.
  24. The guys who sit in front of me -I think it''s fair to say - don''t rate Russell Martin and can only see bad in him. Last night just took the biscuit Pinto was caught out of position in the first half and one of them turned to the other and commented " what do you expect he''s be playing with Martin for the last 2 season!!!!!!" you couldn''t make it up :-) Oh and by the way the reason Pinto was out of position was because he had been on one of his runs and had been impeded as he tried to get back
