1. Yeah Id agree with that! He doesnt deserve to be dropped because of Ashtons arrival. I think those two up front with Huck cutting in from the ''leftish'' role has goals written all over it. Now we need to shore up the defence....
2. Great decision to give Drury a break. He needs to concentrate on his own game before worrying about others at the moment. I would say Helveg would have been a better option thou. He is a natural leader and now showing his true grit! But saying that, i can have no complaints about Flem.
3. Surely hes too small to get picked up by radar! He is one of the party boys at the club who has probably felt the wrath of Worthy over the christmas period. I guess he may be back for pre season.
4. Great signing, lets just not put too much pressure on the lad as hes still only a young un! I know he will be okay though. From what it says on the official sight hes got squad number 36 ( 3 + 6 = 9 me thinks!) Well done to the club and who knows maybe another new face on the way, hopefully a defender.
5. You can make your pledge here: https://www.donate.bt.com/bt_form_dec.htm cheers
6. After just seeing the Man Utd Spurs game and what happened at the end we MUST have the 4th official observing the game on a monitor pitch-side. There are too many bad decisions being made by the officials which is not always their fault, after all if they dont see it they cant give it.
7. So we are not allowed to sign a good player just because they play for Ipswich. Dont make me laugh. I mean I dont like Ipswich as much as the next Canary but they have some great players. They wouldnt be top otherwise now would they. Anyone who would not want a  good player just because of their blue past is an absolute idiot.
8. No Charlton pulled up in the warm up with what looked like an ankle prob but in the early stages he got a knock on the thigh. my money would be on a dead leg. Safri looked like he had someone stand on his ankle when he was defending.
9. I thought Helveg was awesome today. Every game I see him in he gets better and better. I too was watching him off the ball. He is always talking and encouraging colleagues. We have another Captain without an armband in the side which is always a good thing.
10. Below is what I asked Joe Ferrari on the Offical site: FAO Joe Ferrari: Regarding Brian Woolnough. Henmeister General @ 20-DEC-04 06:31 PM I am interested to know whether Brian Woolnough has been to Carrow Road this year? And also if you have it in your powers to maybe ban him and any of his colleagues from reporting at our games? His outburst is way over the top and unnecessary. I can only hope that it spurs on the players to winning on boxing day. (no pun intended)! Re: FAO Joe Ferrari: Regarding Brian Woolnough. Joe Ferrari @ 21-DEC-04 10:15 AM I can confirm that Mr Woolnough has not been to Carrow Road for at least the last couple of seasons. Whilst no-one at Norwich was impressed with his remarks in Monday''s Star we will not be banning him or any of his colleagues from enjoying the normal warm, friendly and professional welcome the media receive when they visit Carrow Road. I note meanwhile that both Nigel Worthington and Craig Fleming have been quoted as saying they place a lot more stock on the post-match comments praising City from Jose Mourinho. As for an official invite to Mr Woolnough to attend a match here to see what sort of ''stuff'' the the people of Norfolk are ''made of'' for himself, I shall be doing this in my column on Boxing Day and in person to whoever the Star sends to cover the match. All the best, Joe F Easy to believe that the piece of garbage has not even paid us a visit lately. Cant see him coming in the future now either. Hopefully not anyway
11. Yeah I agree Nav. Cant believe we are still hearing about bloody Peter Crouch. For the last time he is not what we need!!!! Get over him and stop living in the bloody past!
12. 4-5-1 worked great. I think Stevenage fan has got it absolutley spot on again. I dont usually post on these ''what tactics would you play'' threads but I hope worthy sees this line up too and goes with it! Nice work!
13. This guy is a disgrace and we should all be emailing him with our protests. I am interested to know whether Joe Ferrari will be barring him from his media area at Carrow Road. Anyways below is what I have emailed the fat Tw*t: Mr Woolnough, I have seen a great amount of fellow football supporters have already responded to your disgusting article about Norwich City. Well here is another one for you. I doubt very much that you will read this or any other let alone respond to any but I do not really care about that but it just angers me that you get paid a good salary to inflict your amature views of a game you obviously know nothing about. I would put good money that you have never kicked a ball in your life. I would just like to know how much Football you have actually seen Norwich play this season? Obviously against a side like Chelsea everyone would expect Norwich to get a hammering. Yes If you just look at the result it would appear that we did... but no. We put together a solid display, especially in the first half but were let down by two misplaced passes for the first two goals and subject to an excellent team move for the 3rd goal. You are just having an easy swipe at a small club and  I guess this must make you feel very big and clever. Does it Mr Woolnough?  If you listen to people who do know the game and are widely respected within its circles (everything which you are not) like Jose Mourinho who claimed Norwich were the better side in the first half. These sentiments were also echoed on Sky Soccer Saturday where the pundits have often praised us for the spirit and resolve shown by the team. We have come back from conceding the first goal on 9 occasions this season. Does that sound like a team with no character? Not really does it.  I think it would be a good idea for you to apologise for this unnecessary outburst on Norwich but if you are not man enough to do this how about proposing a Rodney Marsh style challenge where he said he would shave his head if Bradford stayed up. They did and he duly went bald. How about WHEN we stay up you stop reporting and do us all a favour you waste of journalistic space....I am just glad that this article will only appear in the Daily Star so we know only a handfull of people will be subjected to it.  I await in vain for your response Rob Henry
14. Canary Boy, you do not seem to see the qualities that Helveg has. Cant you get it into your head that everyone can misplace a few passes now and then. Even the likes of Beckham and Bergkamp. But for every misplaced pass there are a great deal more good passes. Allow Helveg to have a good run and then judge him. Dont come on here slagging him off after one major mistake.
15.
Rob Norwich City are playing in the Premier League. Here. Now. TODAY. I couldn''t give a s**t if Helveg was good in Euro 2004 or Serie A- He is not good in the Premiership and that is the only poi...
DumbleWhoGivesaDamn:Have you actually seen him play? I guess not unless it is what you see on the edited highlights from your armchair. He was class against Bolton and apart from the first goal had a good game today. As I said before his experience is vital to us. We do not have many players who have much top flight experience and he has that in abundance. No not in the Premier League granted but if he continues to play for us we will improve. I am getting fed up with the likes of you who cannot see through a few mistakes. I bet you do not notice how many times Drury or Edworthy are caught out of position or how many times Holt gives away possession. The guy plays for NCFC and if you are a supporter you would give him a real chance and not be on his back after just a couple of errors.
16. Vs Fulham He lost Andy Cole. Had absolutley no clue where he was.   Vs Bolton It was a stupid penalty to give away   VS Chelsea He lost possession for their 2nd   He is not a good player, has no pace, no positional awareness and is damn clumsy.   There you go Campbell
17. Give the guy a break you fickle b****rds. A misplaced pass which lead to a goal and you a crucifying the man. You cannot go from being a good player to a bad player just like that. If any of you have seen him in recent games and you know anything at all about the game of football you must have noticed his quality. No I guess you were all never willing to give the guy a chance following his 45 minutes against Everton.
18. Helsinki: Let me get this right. Helveg has played and against the best players in the world throughout his career in Serie A and captained his national team in Euro 2004 where he was statistically the best defender. But despite this he is ''not up to Premier League''... Good One. Sorry but you are talking a load of crap. He is vastly experienced and in the past few games he has shown what quality he has.  Helveg will be one of our key players in our relegation fight after christmas. Yeah he has misplaced a few passes but so does everybody. If you wanted every guy out of the team when they pass to the opposition we would have lost all our players by now. People make mistakes. Deal with it.
19. Sounds like you still are at school mate with a comment like that. Helveg will prove to be a quality player for us IF we dont give up on him,  and his experience can be key in keeping us up this season.
20. Sorry but Doherty never will be a good player. He has no positional sense at all and has cost us several goals since reverting to center back already. He was a panic buy by worthington and I look forward to the day when he is dropped and Jason Shackell is given his chance at this level.
21.
Two wins dont make a season Chicken. It is great that we played well saturday and got the vital three points but it doesnt mean that we can get carried away. A lot of work to be done yet and it will b...
Whoops, Accidentally posted this under my dads name on his computer!! So dont have a go at my old man anybody, have a go at me!
22. Just explain to me how Fulhams goal was greens fault. Doherty had lost Andy Cole and it was a one on one from 12 yards out. Hardly his fault. And Heirro''s header was so powerful from close range so he could hardly have been expected to save that one. It came down to lack of communication between Edworthy & Fleming resulting in neither picking him up allowing a free header. Pre Contract agreement? I dont think so
23. I think you are on a wind up mate or have just started drinking very early for a monday. Shackell is already better than Doherty and im not even gonna bother answering your comment about Rob Green.
24. Disagree mate. Shackell is an excellent prospect and one we need to hold on to. If we do not start to give him at least substitute appearances soon he will want to leave and that will be a great loss. Other teams try their youth players so why cannot we? Everytime he has played he has won many admirers. He had a great game in the cup against Newcastle, marking one of the best strikers around in Patrik Kluivert so i think if he can continue to develop he will be a great asset. Lets give him a go Worthy and soon.
