  1. If Man Utd had wanted him then they would have signed him.
  2. but that would involve none of the other matches going ahead.
  3. Pulis signed strong players such as Robert Huth, Steven N’Zonzi, Peter Crouch, Ricardo Fuller. Rory Delap created goals with a long throw-in. We need some of those types of strong, quality signings,
  4. Pulis style of football came about following a call to to Sir Alex Ferguson asking him how to stay in the Premier League. Sir Alex Ferguson told him: ‘Listen you ain’t gonna win a lot of games away from home in the Premier League but you’ve got to make the Britannia a fortress and you’ve got to do things that teams aren’t going to be comfortable with.’ “‘If any of the top six sides ever give you compliments you’re not doing it in the right way.’ “Because you’ve got to get teams to despise you and despise the way you play."
  5. He was good at receiving the ball from defense, creating lots of time on the ball and good passing.
  6. Ben Pearson would have been ideal playing for us today.
  7. We can't outplay the best teams and we are not physically stronger than the lower placed teams, We need players more like a Pulis team at the back and in central midfield to make us hard to beat. We can then save the Farkeball for the final third.
  8. I never said that. I am not blaming anyone for tickets being too expensive and unavailable for 4 of us to sit togther; simply stating a fact.
  9. As a family of 4 we can only afford to watch the lower priced matches such as friendly matches and early round cup matches. It would be about £150 for us to watch a PL match together which isn't affordable even if we could get 4 seats together. We have been on the season ticket waiting list for years.
  10. Family are not 'glory hunters' as have been going to matches for more than 25 years but can usually only afford friendly matches and some cup matches as tickets for league matches are far too expensive. Norwich claim to be a family club but tickets are unaffordable for most and even if we could afford them then we can't get tickets to sit together unless a friendly or early round cup match.
  11. I have never seen so many kids at a match as on Tuesday night. The earlier kick-off time and attractive ticket prices were very welcome. It is a great shame that my family and others can't afford to watch Norwich play in the Premier League and have no chance of getting tickets.
  12. The grandstand at Great Yarmouth Town Football Club is the oldest surviving football stand in the world. The stand, opened in 1892 is a grand 129 years old.
  13. Nothing has changed since i wrote that.
  14. Ex-Man Utd, Bournemouth signed him on a 3.5 year deal so must think he could be good enough for the PL. We need someone aggressive and annoying to the opposition, good at breaking-up spells of the game, wins free-kicks etc. We need 2 CDM's if we are going to stay in the PL.
  15. I still think we need 2 DCM's and should go for Ben Pearson as one of them.
  16. I think Onel would do well when Sargent is playing upfront.
  17. Talk of wanting to sign a defensive midfielder but shouldn't we be signing 2 of them?
  18. Yes, he got pushed away at times. He is good for a team who has a lot of possession (like we did last season and perhaps for Spurs) but not so sure against bigger and better players and defending a lot more of the time.
  19. Skipp is too light-weight to be a DCM in the PL for a team that will be defending a lot of the time. He would need a strong DCM and strong CB around him. Talk of signing a DCM but really we need 2 of them.
  20. Werder Bremen were unsure of his best position and yet some people are assuming that he is a striker. He isn't very quick. Counter-attacks broke-down and they got relegated. The top German league isn't as high a standard as the Premier League but I wouldn't read too much into what club a player signs from as the main importance is how good the player is.
  21. Nick Powell is the Stoke Player of the Season for 2020-21. He is like a bit like Dowell but scores more goals than Dowell.
  22. I think he would be a good low cost option for Norwich as his movement, technical ability, creativity is very good, experienced, age 27, scores goals. Signing for Man Utd as a youngster was a bit too much pressure for him but he has got his career back on track. He is a quiet person off the pitch with a family.
