1. "say hello to smudger who is an ipswich fan listening at home" or words to that effect!
2. Vern text into canarycall - and just asked neil adams to "say hello to smudger, who is an ipswich fan listening at home"
3. Just heard Neil Adams on radio Norfolk - absolute genius. well done!
4. i wasnt aware i was laying into Roeder? i said i thought it was a bizarre starting line up. and i did. It proved to a great lineup and i am happy about that and pleased we have got Glenn at the heln. as i have been since the scum game.
5. i prefer   5 - 0 breaker!! Happy with one today though!! the scum lost, we won - we''re out of bottom three - ipswich sliding down the table. 12 points out of 15. We are staying up!
6. well we did concede late - as we have for the past 2 games - luckily the linesman saw him offside!! Brave linesman - but who cares, we won it - 4wins in 5 and we are out of the bottom three!!!
7. and maybe i didnt!! colchester losing means we are still out of the bottom three!!! i overlooked this fact when using the live league on sky sports!! E I, EI, E I O....
8. i looked at one from northants going thru london but was still expensive and very longwinded - wouldve had to get tube across london and it wouldve taken 4 and a bit hours. it takes me 3 and a bit from bham.
9. we started with curo and dublin at stoke and played wonderful passing stuff in the first half. cant argue with the scoreline though. worked so far.
10. Cardiff are losing, we are out of bottom three as it stands!!!
11. make that 3-0 the scum are losing. we sound like we''re playing well, keeping possession, not looking dodgy from set pieces and lots of attacking football and crosses from us.
12. that as maybe but i''m glad we cant go bottom again today.
13. GET IN!!! Take back earlier comments about Smith - an assist in under 10mins = humble pie for me! glenn is God.
14. we are allowed 5 - leeds had 6 which was why they got in trouble. Croft at least tries hard, which i havent seen from smith thus far this season!! I agree Croft is poor, but Smith has not done anything in the time he has been given on the pitch. at least croft looks like he might occassionally!!
15. final score 1-0 to blackpool. good result for us even though blackpool are down there. is the Roeder wagon ready to roll over Sheff Utd? we can only hope!
16. I looked at going today - then realised the train fare from my girlfriend''s in Kettering was 20more than i pay from Birmingham which is further away. 50quid seems a bit steep considering the distance involved and i just couldnt justify it this close to xmas. Condolences on missing the game, it is a sad legacy of Thatcher privatising the industry that it is cheaper to fly to Spain than it is to travel 60 or 70miles by train.
17. Marshall Semmy, Taylor, Shacks, Camara, Smith, Pattison, Fozzy, Hucks Cureton, Evans   I can''t see why Smith is in for Croft? and why Curo is starting again? Surely it should be a big man with Evans? Also Fozzy confirmed as Captain for the season according to radio Norfolk. Good move in my books, looks like Fozzy has a future here under Roeder, IF he stays injury free!!
18. Preston are 1-0 down at home to blackpool with 10mins left....if cardiff get beat and we win, we are out of the relegation zone already!!!
19. I don''t think you can leave big Dion out. Smith hasnt done anything to warrant a start so i''d say the first XI was the better option. Smith on the bench always leaves us the option to bring him on for Dion if he starts to tire, or just to mix it up a bit if its not going our way.
20. I am of polish origin, i have no problem admitting this. Miroslav Klose was born in and grew up in Poland with his German parents. he plays for Germany, or do you think he should play for Poland? Lukasz Podolski was born in Poland, to Polish parents, from a Polish family. He grew up in Poland until his career took him to Germany and he now plays in the German national team. (Judas!) Not everything is as cut and dried as you guys seem to think. There are situations which bring up grey areas, and i am one of those circumstances! I made my decision from a young age, due to the socialisation i received from my parents, and the place i felt was MY country and my home and the place i took a pride in saying i was from. Back to the point, you all seem to be rooting for Hatton because you are british and so is he. I am not rooting for Mayweather because he is not British - I am supporting Mayweather as i hate Ricky Hatton. I don''t think he is intelligent, He hasn''t risen from the depths of social lows to become the best fighter, he doesn''t interview very well, and resorts to copycat tactics from long-forgotten pre-fight press conferences in a bid to intimidate (see his finger across the throat taunt in reference to Bernard Hopkins) Quotes from his latest press conference: “ I’m my usual witty, sarky, laugh-a-minute self . " - Isn''t there a hint of arrogance there which you all hate mayweather for? “I knew what Mayweather was trying to do. He was trying to get that extra edge but it was not going to happen. " - Sherlock Holmes award goes to Ricky Hatton on deducing that one. “Stuff like that is water off a duck’s back to me. But for a guy like Mayweather, who lives off confidence so much and the mind games he plays, that would have hurt him much more than it would’ve hurt me. " a juvenile, laughable playground/wrestling style finger run across the throat? i bet Mayweather is Sh***ing himself now! “I will go away now for a coffee and a c**p and forget it." - The everest of IQ strikes again!
21.
i like the current debate, dont agree with mccarthy comments, he took a sunderland side up with little money signing the likes of elliot, lawerence, whitehead, miller etc... last year he came to molineux 7days before pre season and he had 7players who ever played 1st team football, and he took us to the playoffs with what 1m worth of money so seriosuly how can you knock him? he is not prem class i admit, but in this league mick has the knowledge n eye for player i.e kightly 50k now worth 3m easy jas - last trophey was playoff final yes 1yr before you won league stevo - wba is our main threat locally, but to look up at then blatently villa are better than all midlands club n if we are ambitous we should aim for them, wba are good but not great they had best squad last year by mile n failed to achieve promotion, they done well to catch watford but now proving their squad isnt good enough, although there if fit 1st team are - i dont get how you say wba are out performing us they are 2pts ahead of us, and we draw away at theres thats hardly out performing us jim kent talks sense n i shouldnt get you to justify yourselves as i am the guest!
No offence We8wba - but the playoff final trophy isnt a real trophy. its not like you won anything. you need to win two games to achieve it. (if you win and draw and win and lose but go thru on goal diff on the semis.) maybe we should just get a trophy made and hand it to the team for their two wins on the bounce against cov and blackpool. this is how ridiculous the playoff trophy is. I would take more pride in winning johnstones paint trophy as at least it is a real tournament, albeit with severely less financial implications!! The fact that you class this as silverware shows what a small-time team wolves are nowadays. McCarthy took Sunderland back down with a record low of points. we were S**t in our prem season and even we did better than Sunderland did that year. On that basis, how could you want him to take you into the promised land if you were only going to have a season like that? I suggest you check your knowledge of your own team before debating other people''s clubs. McCarthy arrived TWELVE days before start of the season (http://football.guardian.co.uk/Match_Report/0,,2073979,00.html). He also inherited a team including one of the best keepers at this level (Matt Murray) and a few talented youngsters.
22. "Its reported today were are after Izale McLeod as Charlton are prepared to let him go for £1m in January. This guy scored a few in League 2 but hasnt scored 1 goal in 14 games for Charlton, so obviously is way out of his depth in the Championship." I''m not saying we should sign him, or that he comes with bells and whistles attached, but I think you should do your research Barclayman.... Mcleod has made 14 APPEARANCES for Charlton. only ONE of those has been a START. how do you know all his sub appearances haven''t been in 89th min? im not saying they were, just a possibility. If this were the case, not scoring in 1game and 13 mins is not enough to make a judgement on him being ''obviously out of his depth'' surely? Personally i think he is a raw talent, i think he can do it in this division and i think he will prove it somewhere, that plays to his strengths and has a good man-manager in charge who can turn him into the finished article. I believe Roeder could do this so do not think he would be a poor signing, but i think there are better out there for the money.
