1.
I''m a bit confused here.  Did we really just terminate/pay up his contract ?  With both Hibs and Falkirk interested, surely we could have got a transfer fee ?  There seems to be no mention of one. Far from making money out of player transfers, we seem to be settling up and giving them away now ...
Indeed, Hibs are supposed to be interested in him. So we bend over backwards to release him for free, then the next day he signs (Albeit short-term) for hibs!
2. Fair enough, hadnt heard any transfer speculation about their keepers but still possible. Personally I would take 2.5 Mil for Marshall, if this is indeed true.
3. Hart, Isaksson and Schmeicel. Cant see where marshall would fit in?
4. MK Dons to beat wrexham away. I tipped Wrexham to lose last week as they havent won in 8 games or something along those lines, so up against the league leaders they should get stuffed
5. Dont care that we lost. I do care for the supporters who took the time and spent the money to watch it though.
6. OK back on topic.... I agree, and said at the time why do we release so many players as opposed to a transfer fee? Surely any transfer fee is better than nothing? Given his reputation from hearts 100k for brellier should be the minimum, and given Dave was supposedly the czech leagues second top scorer we could get at least 50k/100k for him. But no one knows the finer details behnid the club, so Ill just have to assume we tried.
7. On the plus side we have played five more games against top half then bottom. Infact looking at our fixtures, our next five or so home games are all winnable!
8. Is a shame we didnt change our manager sooner. Palace are in the play-offs now having been in the bottom 3! On this form its not impossible for us, although a stretch..
9. So far the only two coming in are the 1/5 bets [:(] Although only Peterborough are losing so still time!
10. Looks good to me, best of luck leedscanary!
11.
Interesting ! Is this to get his price up ?
Thats my reading of the situation. Brum and Norwich are both playing hardball. Who will crack first?
12.

if players keep going at this rate, we''ll have no players left
My thoughts exactly. It''s all well and good to chop out all this dead wood, but what about some replacements for them?? Having seen the balls-ups on the last few transfer windows, I really don''t have a great deal of faith that this one will turn out any better. WTF is going on?
A case of getting rid before buying perhaps? Wouldnt be good for us to buy a defensive midfielder, only for Brellier to turn round and say he is happy to rot in the reserves and keep the wage that could be used elsewhere.
13. Its the fact that this summer we thought we had spent around 1mil. When we hadnt. Meaning we actually spent very little.
14. Again, cant we have gotten even a small transfer fee for him? He was a success at hearts, surely a scottish team would have him for a nominal fee? But anyway, thanks for the memories Jules. Whatever they were.
15. we8wba - I was basing it on the transfers page on bbc. The edwards deal is not on their for some reason? Assume it went through ok though. To be honest the three clubs I picked were off the top of my head, im sure if you looked at other teams in our position we have probably done just as much business if not more.
16. I suppose Worthington could argue he got us to the premiership, paying off that 600k considerably. "Over £1m waisted and the fans will have to pickup the TAB." Hate to break it to you, but if every purchase we made was spot on we would be in the champions league. However some of our decisions are crap, hence why we are stuck near the foot of division one. Im sure every other team in our division has made shite decisions.
17. Well played Coelho! That version sounded more believable. Think it was the "On loan" part that threw people off and would never have happened IMO. But the original post was half right so well done.
18. Back to the "Terminated contract" scenario. Why does this happen so often? Is it that hard to get a transfer fee? Even 100k for supposedly the Czech leagues 2nd top scorer?
19.
why are we talking down at carrow road we are going out to get better players and still we wait for new faces when the likes of qpr wolves etc have brought i am getting worried
We have 1 buy and 2 loans. Wolves have 1 buy. West Brom have 1 buy. Blackpool have 1 buy. So does that mean they are falling behind too? Infact just because we havent bought players into the double figures like QPR does that mean we are falling behind? From the smudger troll bracket?
20. To help all the pickers out there - www.footballanorak.com  has some betting tools which I use pretty regularly.  Someone earlier in the thread used their "Dead cert" table which is very helpful for our mission in hand.
21. With Brown gone and Strihavka packing his bags we are desperately short up front (The reviews of martin and jarvis dont provide optimism). We get Evans for a month, when he goes we should have a new striker or two. Good work Glenn. (Assuming we do get a striker in!)
22. Good piece of business. 400k for Brown, someone did a great selling job!
23. Never saw Rehman play personally so cant judge his talent (Or lack of apparently)
24.
Would they want to wait for confirmation of a work permit before unveiling? Does this take only a few days and so can be done relatively quickly before announcing the signing officially? Ben
Thats what I imagine. I assume international transfers are far more complex than domestic, hence the wait. Still would be good to have an update or two from the club.
