I agree with you. Looking around at players such as Pedri at Barca and Bellingham at Dortmund, if you're good enough, you're old enough! Obviously younger players have the potential of more ups and downs, developing their physical and mental attributes etc. But I do think these players are very much in and around the 1st 11 conversation this season, in my opinion.

This is exciting and ambitious in my eyes. This guy was on the European Golden Boy list and obviously extensively scouted by some big teams. Only 19 so lots of room for progress!

From a quick Google it seems Man Utd and Dortmund amongst others were heavily linked with him as recently as June. Could be a big coup if this happens? I haven't seen him play but seems to be rated as a bit of a 'wonderkid'

What makes you think they wouldn't have wanted both to come (Berghuis and Rashica)? He is likely going to Ajax. I think if he had decided to come here they would have signed him. So it was his call.

I think his level has improved significantly since being at Watford. Norwich were talking to him not long after the season ended.

Apparently Berghuis was definitely on the radar for Norwich and he was seriously considering it. Was told that quite a while ago. The lure of Ajax was too great though. There were quite a few options for him I believe.

I don't care from the club's point of view, I agree, get the best deal and use it wisely. I'm shocked from his point if view. When Athletico Madrid and Arsenal are being mentioned, you've just had your 1st call up to Argentina squad. Key move in his career age wise etc. I expected a team that challenges near the top of whatever league they play in.
