Lessingham Canary 108 Posted February 2, 2015 Bournemouth just bid for Gray, SSN reckon turned down as unwelcome, there goes any hope we had of going in for him !!
city-till-i-die 7 Posted February 2, 2015 Bournemouth making a final push to get in the prem very large bid for a club like that. We "should" be in a position to match a bid like that. Slow day for NCFC thus far. I really hope to see a Left winger come in on loan or a permanent (got to be the right player tho)
Buh 0 Posted February 2, 2015 Little old Bournemouth bid 5 million for a player?I thought they were powered by pixie dust an the spirit of the dam busters! It''s almost as if they have a mysterious, dubious Russian millionaire owner artificially inflating their league status as a one man and his dog team. But that cant be "the people champion" little plucky bulldog spirit Brighton! No way!
norfolkngood 1,174 Posted February 2, 2015 we should be able to match anything Bournemouth can do if we really want him nice to see a club going for it though ........
Graham Paddons Beard 2,789 Posted February 2, 2015 A warm welcome to the real world of Football. Try as we might, we still can''t quite believe the correlation of the depth of an owners pockets to the success of a football team. Just have a quick Google - Maxim/ Bournemouth should do it. GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted February 2, 2015 Should Bournemouth be allowed to be signing players for £5m when they have a ground that holds 12,000?. Whilst other clubs have to spend money on their stadium and infastructure it would appear that they dont have to and can just spend it on the pitch. They should have to have a bigger capacity than 12,000 to play in the Premier League ,so should be made to spend it on the ground first.
Branston Pickle 4,147 Posted February 2, 2015 Actually, funny you should mention grounds and PL status - Brentford has a fair amount of terracing and there was talk that they''d have to groundshare if they got promoted; don''t think there is any limit on size so presumably Bournemouth are ok. There''s no lower limit on ground capacity in the Premier League as long as it''s all seated.Brentford are planning to move to a new ground shortly so I expect they''d bolt temporary seats onto their terrace in the meantime. We did the same with the old South Stand back in the day and long before it was compulsory.
Making Plans 957 Posted February 2, 2015 BBCBournemouth manager Eddie Howe has told BBC Radio Solent that there will be no incomings at the Championship club today. That looks to have ended the Cherries'' current pursuit of Birmingham winger Demarai Gray, after having a £5m bid rejected by their Championship rivals.
