Lets be Frank about this

Recommended Posts

If I have understood correctly, this game is the first where w shall see the influence of our new chappie, Frank.

What are we to expect? There was some surprise last game at the team news, be interesting to see what happens Saturday and if Frank makes a discernible difference.

Anybody got any clues?

Depends on what formation the manager goes with and if we get international clearance in time.4-4-2 would mean him coming in to the middle with Johnson if we''re still struggling injury wise.

Voice of Reason asks whether we should expect to see a discernible difference on Saturday given that the new assistant manager (or is it coach?) has arrived.

Well given that he will have had the best part of four whole days to work out what he has got to work with and then to mould the team to his and AN''s shape, I would expect nothing less than perfection.

Yeah, sorry, I should have made my response clearer.I think it depends on what players are available and how that influences the managers desired formation.Andreu could make a difference as he has worked with both already and should play precisely how they want him to almost straight away with just a bit of time for getting to grips with this league. He will also have trained with the squad this week and that may work as a bit of a catalyst for AN and the new chappie. All factors to consider anyway. It would help to have at least one player that is familiar and to assist the trickling down of ideas and approaches.

I think you have read this wrong chicken......the OP is about our new assistant manager not our new French midfielder.

If anyone is going to be Frank, it should be me!

Hopefully we''ll see a bit more of the manager''s philosophy pervade through the team. Having his assistant and best player from Hamilton in the mix can only help things.

In fairness what he can do in so few days is limited. That said, I have everything crossed just like Frank that regardless of this we see a City team who play to their potential for ninety minutes and tonk a very poor Blackpool.......but I am not expecting seven, that should not happen to them again this season.

It still amazes me how much people on this board go on about the impact the other coaches make

its a team end off

Last weeks team selection was fascinating, courtesy of AN & Gary Holt, now that Frank has been here for a week, I am waiting with interest for Saturday.

We have been told that Frank got on very well with the Accies players & they thought alot of him, do we know anything else about him?

Who is being discussed here? New Assistant Manager Frank McAvoy or new Midfield player Tony Andreu?

Either way, fielding a player who needs no introduction to the playing methodology of Alex Neil and Frank McAvoy has to be a positive advantage. I just hope Tony-me-lad turns out to be more Andreu than Andrex...
