SEND BRENNAN ON LOAN

Recommended Posts

Well regarding the Jim Brennan issue i think for the number of years he has been at the club and something should have been sorted out, rather than leaving Brennan like dead wood hes now 27 years old. I mean i think that he is a valuable asset personally. Because u have the option of playing him as Left Full back or a Left Winger. Now i don''t know about the fans but from what i''ve seen of him given first team football he could really have a good run in the side. So i think in the interests of the player and Norwich City i think if he is to remain part of the first team plans they either give him games or send him on loan. I mean looking at it in the long term we could end up losing him. Simon Charltons age 32. So we''ll be scratching our heads looking for maybe 2 replacements. So its up to the Manager and staff to look at the situation before it gets worse.

Send him out on loan. Give him a chance to show what he can do. It''ll be interesting to see that.

Now Drury is injured it would be a great opportunity to try Brennan at left back for a bit and see what he can do! We know that Charlton is a steady performer although he didn''t look too comfortable when he came on as a sub for Drury so lets give Jim a try! I''m a Brennan fan but it''s difficult to see where he fits into our team if everyone else is fit!

Nah, not enough players in the squad to send anyone out on loan... Brennan will get his chance again this year, I hope, and will be valuable to us throughout the season... he''s just been unlucky with injuries, and when he is fit seems to coincide with Drury playing to his best... only an injury to Hucks will see him in the first team at the moment, imo, as I think Worthy will put Charlie at LB on Saturday...
Do you REALLY thin our squad is big enough to off load players to other clubs? I see a bench place for jim come the weekend!
a place on the bench is all he will ever get:

At left back, we have Drury and Charlton before brennan, ok so Drury is out, charlton comes straight in, no room for brennan.......

Left mid, with Huckerby obviously favourite, and McVeigh for back-up once again, Brennan would go down at atleast 3rd choice, if not even lower.

However, it would be nice to see him play again thou, so prehaps loaning him out will be the ideal thing?

The squad is too thin to send Brennan on loan.

Rumour is that Brennan will start left mid on Saturday, with Charlton at left back and Hucks up front with Deano. Whether that is true or not (its obviously linked to the rumour of Leon going to Reading) I don''t know. But Brennan can play left mid and is very useful backup.

Would be interesting to see how that works if it happens although if Hucks is going to play up front, i''d prefer to see McVeigh at left mid with Brennan at left back!

Brennan is one of the unluckiest players that I can remember at this club.

When he signed he was bought with left midfield in mind and then he got injured before the season started and Mcveigh made that spot his own.

The only other position available was taken by teachers pet Drury and then Worthy decided that Hucks should play left midfeld instead of floating around.

I''ve got a mate who''s a Forest season ticket holder and he reckons that the year Brennan made the play offs he was absolute mustard. He always asks me how Brennans getting on and I just refer him to the manager of Mercy to find out...
