Morisons Prozac 0 Posted September 2, 2014 Now the window slams shut and it seems our business is done, what do you think about our dealings?IN:Grabban - Looks to have paid for himself already. Huge bargain in an inflated market and has plenty of time and potential to play in the PremLafferty - Has put in a couple of MOTM performances so far and just needs a goal to kick off his seasonJerome - Adds a unique physicality and pace to our front line, should be a real threat and bag a few goalsMcGrandles - Young but by no means inexperienced. Should break into the team sooner rather than later and had unbelievable potentialThompson - No nothing about him but assuming he''s one for the futureO''Neil - Highly experienced at this end of the table, could be a real asset in a long hard seasonOdjidja-Ofoe - The Marque signing so to speak. Fantastic replacement for Fer and would easily flourish at Prem level let alone the current oneCuellar - Full of experience. Not exciting but a solid player who will push Turner and Bennett hard for a starting placeHoovield - See CuellarMiquel - Jurt''s out a bit, has potential but could be another Ayala. Hopefully the former and prove to be a very shrewd signing.Pair these signings with the fact that the only key signings we lost were Fer, Snodgrass, Pilkington and RvW I''d say we''ve had a fantastic window and a lot of people, including myself, owe Adams our apologiesfor doubting his abilities to keep hold of players. lharman7 39 Posted September 2, 2014 I think you''ve answered your question with your post MP and I agree with everything you''ve written. All of our signings have been done with much astuteness. We''ve signed a mix of experience, potential gems and players coming into the best years of their careers. It''s been a fantastic window and one everyone involved with NCFC can be proud of!Now let''s hope Adams can get them all playing great football and get us the results we need! The Great Wall Of Tettey 0 Posted September 2, 2014 I''d also look at the success of keeping hooper, ruddy, Redmond, olsson, tettey, turner. That''s a quality set of players to base a team around. Competition for places looks good and can''t wait to see some of the new boys

CJ 1 Posted September 2, 2014 It is such a pity there in reality is no quality reserve league , as we clearly now could put a good reserve team together every week now.Adams is going to have a real job keeping players match fit and the competition in most departments is good. The only surprise was not getting another keeper in and loaning Rudd out again , as he clearly showed against Crawley needs more match time.
It's Character Forming 1,204 Posted September 2, 2014 Good summary by the OP. I''m delighted and pleasantly surprised by our activity in this window. The players coming in mean we have a more effective squad now IMO than we had 12 months back. And we''ve managed to let go players who while talented all had disadvantages - Fer going missing, Snoddy slowing the game down, Pilks being injury prone and an intermittent contributor, Surman inconsistent. To get £20m for them is fantastic frankly. We''ve certainly got a squad that can aim for top 2.
ROBFLECK 134 Posted September 2, 2014 And Ruddy!!! I thought we would lose him too...good signings and agree 100% with OP. We''ll have to wait and see what Miquel can bring and if Odjidja is the player people expect him to be. I''ve lived in Belgium and he''s not bad but he''s not Fer...still I''m happy with his signing. Finally, I think we''ve got the squad to cope with a long hard season now!
