Worthy Standing Strong on Ashton

Recommended Posts

There have been 2 or 3 occasions in the last week where Worthy has categorically stated that Ashton is not for sale.  He is quite obviously trying to warn off Premier League from making the reported £7m bids touted in the papers.

Anyone else feel though that this is actually more a veiled message / threat to the board?  Lets be honest IF someone did offer £7m+ for Ashton and IF the board turned it down they would be the first ever board in Norwich City history to turn down big money for a player.  Anyone think that IF the board did sell Ashton against Worthy''s wishes he would walk out?

For me it would be madness to sell Ashton now as we would have little / no time to spend the money on a replacement and other players but we all know, Money Talks and Norwich City board members like money!

Prove me wrong City!

If only you were right Saint in saying that no Norwich City board has ever turned down big money for a player.

I know for a fact that a previous board turned down £4 million for Keith O''Neill from Newcastle. What a mistake that was!

Absolutely right.

But is it my imagination, or did a £10m price tag suddenly appear in an interview in the last couple of days?

Funny how we managed to sign both of the only 2 Dutchman of all time who couldnt play football...

Thank God we''ve never bought a Brazilian. That would be really humiliating...
