A strong finish to the season!

Recommended Posts

I know a lot of fans are panicking due to our recent run of bad form, which is justified after 6 losses in 8 games including a cup exit to Luton.

But look to the positives. We''ve got 15 games left solely focusing on cementing our Premier League place for next season. There''s a lot of 3 pointers in those, with us facing QPR (A), Fulham (H), Southampton (H), Sunderland (A), Wigan (H), Reading (H), Villa (H), and WBA (H). All these games I believe we can get points from, and certainly the home games are winnable. If we went on a home run and won all the above home games, you can add 18 points to our current 26 to score survival at 44 points.

So forget the panic buys for strikers, lets not throw money at a situation that is fixable. Lets get behind the team, let the Barclay and Snake Pit be loud and proud like it always is, and lets march on up that league table because our previous success has always been credit to our fan atmosphere and commitment, and why should this season be any different?!

OTBC!

Definitely agree and hoping for a strong finish. I was actually hoping to beat last season''s total and position, but the losses have ruined that really, which is really s***, but survival is all I care about now. I think it''s too easy to say ''add on the points from home wins'' or similar because those home games will be tough as hell. The likes of Southampton, Reading and Fulham won''t come and sit back. They''ve shown they know they have to win and we must up our game against each one. I''m nervous, but still excited...I just hope we make it and REALLY hope we get some firepower by Thurs

The next 7 days will be critical, we need to bounce back fast, starting with a win at home to Spurs and then go to QPR and win is a must, amongst all of that we must also get the striker we so desperately need, otherwise I fear the worst.
It''s going to be Hughton''s toughest test this week.

That''s all very well Notts. And I am a positive chap by nature. But I don''t think we''ll win both those games. We could. But as an occasional betting man I wouldn''t risk much on the double. So unless you''re wrong the worst it is then.

It will be a bit more worrying it we don''t get a draw at QPR.but even then we''ll have 13 games left to get the necessary points.Won''t be pretty though.

True nutty, I think I''d possibly have to revise what I said to we must not lose them, if we can get the right player in and avoid further defeat this week then that wouldn''t be so bad, but we need a win desperately to start rebuilding the team confidence.
