Baldyboy 1 Posted November 9, 2012 Will we keep a clean sheet tmorrow at Reading and get this monkey off our back of not keeping clean sheets away from home? This is surely the best chance we will have all season?
ZLF 335 Posted November 9, 2012 That will be easier said than done - Reading have not found it difficult to score - only twice this season have they failed and even then away from home and they have scored significantly more goals than we have. Our challenge is to score more than once and that I think will decide the outcome of this game
ROBFLECK 134 Posted November 9, 2012 I''m with Zipper on this one, their attack is strong and we''ll have to do some defending! I think it''s important that we take the game to them, try to get a goal before they do...which puts all the pressure on them! I don''t agree that this is the best chance we have or have had for a clean sheet away from home
marvin the martian 0 Posted November 9, 2012 At the moment our best chance of a clean sheet away would be at Sunderland
Pyro Pete 2,354 Posted November 9, 2012 As long as we don''t give them any encouragement and don''t make any no silly errors, like at Villa, we have a chance. Keep the Reading crowd frustrated and quiet for as long as possible. I also hope Hughton has had the lads working on counter attacks. QPR had plenty of these against Reading and failed to capitalise. ROBFLECK 134 Posted November 9, 2012 Good point Pyro, the break aways are going to be important, cause they are gonna try to put the pressure on, high up the field.
Davo 0 Posted November 9, 2012 This is going to be a tough game. Reading can score but we can''t, I strngly feel we''re going to have to get at least two goals to win this one. Davo
ZLF 335 Posted November 9, 2012 Cue a dull nil nil! Which I would be quite pleased with [:-)]
Salopian 1 Posted November 9, 2012 Does it matter? I am more concerned about the goal difference, which is shockingly high, negatively. I would prefer a 3-2 win to a 0-0 draw.

Arsenal, and we scored two against Liverpool.....................Spurs.................But I agree it will be a tough game.
ZLF 335 Posted November 9, 2012 Thats true we have scored twice twice, both at home so we can do it, once when the game was lost and the other in a cup game. But generally, if we have scored it is just the once, we are creating chances but not taking them. Away from home it is worse, with just 3 goals all season. If it clicks, we can win this sat but we will have to be on our game and focused across the pitch. ......and Smith must score. 1,600 Posted November 9, 2012
At the moment our best chance of a clean sheet away would be at Sunderland
You can say that again....Right now their second highest goalscorer is Newcastle''s Ba with an OG [:D]

ZLF 335 Posted November 10, 2012 excellent effort by the back 5 nullified a decent reading attack.if only we could take our chances.but a point is still a great result for us
