Morisons Prozac 0 Posted September 30, 2012 And other than a player stating it outright, how the f*ck are we supposed to know. Stop attention seeking
Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted September 30, 2012 Players who are not playing are not happy and there does seem to be less respect from the players for Hughton than with Lambert. snodgrass and Hughton were arguing yesterday fairly early on. Despite his good track record he has a hard act to follow and i suspect that some of the playing staff have not got a lot of confidence in him at the moment, this needs to be won and is in large part results driven. I have little confidence in the back room staff who arwe failed managers rather than proven coaches

Jacko 0 Posted September 30, 2012 I don''t think anyone can answer this question at all. We see the matches but we don''t know what goes on in training, what they are thinking or what is being said behind the scenes. Any answer to this question would be 100% guesswork. But even in the doomsday scenario that these players don''t want to play for him they should want to play for themselves because while some will get bought by other Premiership clubs, the vast majority of them won''t be if they go down in abject fashion. So if they want bigger wages and Premier League football they need to give it everything.
Bury Yellow 2 Posted September 30, 2012 Totally agree with Yorkshire Canary.it looked to me as though the players simply do not believe in the system(??) being deployed.I want to give Hughton time but I too worry about the coaches. The players need to respect these people and I''m not sure they do.I don''t what the answer is now but I fear the worst
BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted September 30, 2012 I raised the question in an open-ended kind of way because living abroad one has to rely mainly on live TV coverage and the internet as the base of one''s opinions and it is probably not fair to pen an opinion on that basis. I would submit that my question is just about the most crucial that could be posed at this time, because the answer will underpin the potential actions that McNally and Bowkett may be mulling over in their minds to get our season on track. If they are playing for Hughtonwith belief in his methods, then with a bit of luck (Holt scoring, Hoolahan confident, no more injuries to Bassong, Butterfield & Tettey stepping up, EBennett/Pilkington finding form, securing a class sriker in January) we should be able to stay up. If they are not playing for Hughton for whatever reason(s) then McNally has an urgent and major job on hand to both rescue our season and protect his own record - he will have to sort certain things out sharpish or take some hard decisions. So is the team tending to be (a) on board with Hughton, (b) wanting to be on board but unsure, (c) not on board, (c) other? Any informed opinions? Nexus_Canary 1,206 Posted September 30, 2012 If i am brutally honest, this is the first time I have actually thought Hugton is not the man for the job !He obviously does not like small players or wide wingers very much :(Subbing Jackson when he has aruguably been the best player on the pitch is forgiveable once but the boes following the substituon speak for themselves. paul moy 235 Posted September 30, 2012 Perhaps McNally needs to meet with the players and find out if there are any problems.
