The success is partly down to the way in which every player is a defender, midfielder and a striker and the opponents are just as likely to see a CB bursting into the box during open play as a midfielder or winger. Dubai Mark 0 Posted July 6, 2012 It depends what Spain you are talking about, the boring almost conservative version we saw in the early stages of Euro 2012 or, the Spain that then turned up in the Final that really raised it a level and took a decent Italy apart with some superb offensive football. But its an interesting thought and team selection that certainly makes you realise how much midfield talent/options we have, and I wouldnt be surprised if we play a lot of games this season with a very heavily loaded midfield with just Holt up front, at least for the first hour or so of games anyway.
