This sort of story is just the opening salvo in the plethora of tranfer rumours that will presumably reach fever-pitch during and just after the Euro 2012 . Some will be preposterous, and not based on reality , or at the very least based on one viewing....I mean, if you watched RvP yesterday, he could not hit a cow''s àrse with a banjo, and not worth 40p , let alone £40 mill.

 

In any case, as someone else has stated, PL never let on who we was hoping to sign when he was here, so why is he suddenly going to start doing so now he''s at Villa ?

A possibility, Tom, certainly.  The only drawback with that theory is that Holt had already put in a transfer request long before PL had set foot in Villa Park.......
