BroadstairsR 0 Posted March 4, 2011 Chris Brown, aka Coco, is hoping to make an appearance for PNE after a season of injury problems.I didn''t mind the player myself and considered him a trier at the very least. We actually made a smallish profit on him when he was sold, so please lay off the player on Saturday. I feel that he has probably has his fair share of stick from the Carrow Road terraces.
Largey 0 Posted March 4, 2011 He only scored once in his City career (or league at least) so surely he warrants more abuse than Chris Martin?!I remember seeing his debut at Blackpool in the FA Cup, was impressed by his ''shin-ups'' in warm-up but remember he later got sent off! Don''t remember too much more about him other than he was here during the Grant/Roeder campaign which could only detriment his career! Oh and his reputation as a ''bad boy''. GJP 79 Posted March 4, 2011 I actually thought he was a pretty decent player but he didn''t join the club in the best of times and he wasn''t really given much time to settle in by the fans. His hard work and good use of the ball was basically overlooked in favour of slating his goalscoring record from a very early stage. I''d have certainly rather have had him upfront than the likes of Killen, Sibierski (although a decent player in his day), Mooney, Cureton and the make-shift forward Darel Russell. chicken 0 Posted March 4, 2011 Agree with GJP.And to add at the time we had a serious lack of creativity in midfield to create enough chances for our strikers. Croft was not the best crosser of balls as many have said. That and I seem to remember he didn''t get that many starts considering. He looked good against West Ham in a pre season game, defenitely a handful and went too soon for me.
Lambo 0 Posted March 4, 2011 His hold up play was excellent! Shown he can find the back of the net at Preston too.

He was unfortunately just another scapegoat to a lot of supporters.
Gingerpele 0 Posted March 4, 2011 ''Shown he can find the back of the net at Preston too''You know his record, overall and at preston is worse than Wilbrahams....I hope all of you people who seem to be suggesting Chris Brown is a good player, don''t moan about Wilbraham... Gingerpele 0 Posted March 4, 2011 *Didn''t score until his 20th game for us. Sent off on his debut. I don''t personally remember him doing very much at all.Yet Wilbraham, doesn''t score in 5/6 games, and he''s the worst player ever to some people, and i haven''t seen many defend him.... Graham Humphrey 13 Posted March 4, 2011 I haven''t moaned about Wilbraham so not sure what your point is. But I think Brown is a better footballer I have to say.

Wilbraham can''t score in a pretty decent team.
Gingerpele 0 Posted March 4, 2011 This thread is quite surreal considering the number on people who couldn''t care less about Darrell Russell, who did actually do something for us.And what a lovely comment Zak123.....
Bradwell Yellow 0 Posted March 4, 2011 I was shocked about him in the media. Shooting people with a paintball gun from a car window weren''t he?He''s another Wilbraham who didn''t quite make it here.
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted March 5, 2011 Was a better player than we saw and given time and a different manager could have been a hit here.
