Do you want us to be Wenger's b!tch?

Recommended Posts

If we sign Lansbury, it will do us no good. We will NEVER sign him in the summer, it will slow down the development of our other midfield players (fox, korey) and will leave us with an unfillable void next season. Yeah he is good, but he is not Rooney. Not worth it in my opinion. Of course if we could sign him in the summer it would be a different story.

Who''s to say that if we go up we wont sign him?  It''s probably unlikely that we would due to money reasons but I wouldn''t say never if we do go up.

I can see where you are coming from though.  Our midfield is just fine without him and one fully capable of promotion.  He is a quality player though and if he starts playing well then you can pretty much say that we are definately in the play offs.

I think it''s stretching it a bit to say the midfield is fine without him. That implies that he doesn''t add anything to our midfield when he most certainly does. The right side of our midfield is far weaker than the left side or the centre. We don''t have a specialist right winger for a start. Macca can play there but he''s left footed so hardly can be considered a right winger.

I can''t really see a problem with signing him up for the rest of the season because we don''t have a right winger knocking on the door of the first team so it''s not as if he''s blocking home grown or permanent players.

Agree with this, I must therefore want to be ''Wenger''s b!itch'' [;)]

So shall we take Cody Mac back, and Adyemi, and never loan out Rudd or Steer.... And maybe we should brainwash Francomb to get him to forget his time on loan.....

FFS We take advantage loaning out players to lower league clubs.... At least Wenger is trying to do a job brining English players through, rather than spending millions on foreigners every season....

No I don''t want us to sign Lansbury on loan. All he does is add a lot of quality to our midfield, and causes all sorts of problems in the oppositions defence with his passes, i.e. vs the sc*m. Heaven forbid should we want to get players who can help us secure promotion, when we got Crouch on loan, that was a very bad move wasn''t it? : /

ryan jarvis would be a  20 goal a season striker in the prem if we hadn''t have signed peter crouch and slowed his development.

Lansbury gives you quality in wide areas or in an attacking midfield role. With the exception of Wes and Surman its not something I believe we have in massive abundance at the club nor are such players readily available on a permanent basis. Particularly for a club like us who are pretty skint. So being able to get such a player on loan makes complete sense even if you do have little hope of keeping him at the end of the season.

While we have seen the dangers of too many loan players. There is no need to go completely overboard and completely resist them being at the club altogether. As the likes of Forster, Huckerby and Crouch have shown down the years, the right loan player slotted into a settled team can give you that little bit extra which can make the difference between a decent season and a very good one.
