Rustyboy 2 Posted September 30, 2010 Watching the Spurs match last night, how can Spurs segregate their fans from the away fans without the big green net over the seats that must make a few hundred seats unavailable for the sell out games at Carrow Road? Arthur Whittle 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Because our club and local plod are paranoid that the nasty thugs in the jarrold stand will attack away fans with egg sarnies,Cornish pasties and Luke warm bovril. That''s why our nasty fans with their reputation for mindless violence will have to watch our Derby at 5.30am on a Sunday morning while those lovely fans of Cardiff and Swansea, both Sheffield clubs and most other clubs can watch their Derby games at 3pm on a Saturday

Bill 1,788 Posted September 30, 2010 It would have been far better if the club had put the family enclosure or the disabled section in block G/H of the south stand. They could act as a kind of buffer as they certainly wouldn''t be likely to attack away fans and visa versa, away fans wouldn''t be likely to attack kids, mums and the disabled. That could save an awful lot of money which could be used to get in another couple of players. - though some might have to be used to bung some money to the odd kid or two if the got a ding round the lughole. Yellowfuture 71 Posted September 30, 2010 We should put the away fans in the corner between the river end and the city stand. They are always the last tickets for us to sell and they wont need much segregation down there. City fans can then have all the seats in the Jarrold and the singing in the Barclay will start to continue around the Jarrold.(not)
Gingerpele 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Why don''t we put the away fans next to the snake pit? Then maybe they can all swear/fight all game and not moan about the other fans not being loud enough :P

Lambert is King 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Seriously I did hear the answer to this and 1 or 2 others may have heard far more precisely. I beleive it is to do with different safety committees that regulate each ground. Ours whoever it is insist on the netting where as quite clearly Spurs dont. Ours is also slightly governed by the way the underneath of the stand works. It is nothing to do with the club or the police. I think this policy means we actually lose 400 seats. Sing Up The South Stand 0 Posted September 30, 2010 I think what it is, is by having the netting the away section can be enlarged or reduced depending on the size. The Spurs one is fixed so when not many away fans turn up there is empty seats, whereas we can sell more home seats if the away allocation is small.
Brendo 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Why do the Snakepit ''hardnuts'' sit so far away from the away fans? Massive pussys or what? [;)]
Arthur Whittle 0 Posted September 30, 2010 There is a story behind it brendo but you''re to young to appreciate the old Barclay and the change of all seating stadiums.
