Drury on Hoolahan; and getting caught on the ball.

Recommended Posts

Said Drury:

"Wes has been in fantastic form and I think it makes a big difference when we can get him higher up the pitch so he can do his damage in their half."

and

"If he does get caught on the ball, it''s not going to affect us too much and that''s what we''ve done over the last few games - his form has been fantastic as the whole team has."

Interesting observations, eh?

Nothing to add myself but thought I''d start a thread anyway[:#]

LOL!  Along with the hapless Doherty, Whitey has now made this "League One Team of the Week" twice for Colchester United - told by Lambert to train with the Academy squad and then (ultimate insult) loaned to Southend for a month.

Funny old game, Managers.[:S][<:o)]

It makes much more impact when you allow him to speak for himself - instead of being drowned in a flood of words peppered with supportive references to Doc, Worthy and Delia.

[/quote]How strange? Player in ''Something to Prove Shocker!!'' comes back after being dropped from his habitual Sat pm. team place with something to prove and plays better as a result. Would you say your Whitey is playing better than before Lambert dropped him now, I''d say Doc is, so maybe there''s something in the theory that dropping an underperforming player helps motivate them.Doc sorted himself out fairly quickly I''m guessing Whitey still wasn''t showing the neccesary signs of improvement in training by the time Lambert left Col Who?

So Lovely Lambo is a Doctor of Human Psychology now. Nothing to do then with the fact that Lambert doesn''t rate the Doc and decided to freeze him out in the belief that he had "his own man" coming in. But that didn''t materialise of course and no one came in for Doherty either, injuries and "oh, hang on, we''ve still got the Doc, better play him then" ! No, of course not........ surely
