Re: Fair weather fans

It''s the tone of moral indignation that is so nauseating. Don''t hide behind lame excuses. I''ve produced a small template which you could fill in when you grab the ticket office flunky by the labels and demand your money back in high-pitched shriek, spraying the poor individual with spittle.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I .......................... [insert name] DEMAND a refund of my season ticket payment.

I can confirm that I am nolonger a supporter of Norwich City Football Club.

I am a glory hunter.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perhaps the odious NCISA can get a job lot printed up for it''s next rabble rousing do.

Try and justify it how you like, if you cancel your season ticket you''re a QUISLING!

So if Delia, her retired husband and Chicken McNuggets leave with immediate effect, a deposed dictator chucked in a load of money and signed up the Special One as manager that would be different? You''d be welcomed back in the fold? NEVER! If you turn your back on the club you should be tarred and feathered and slung in the river.

Cancel it or keep it I dont really care what you do!!

What is really starting to spoil this board is the same lame posts telling people how to run their lives.

I am old enough to make my own mind up thanks!

I was merely saying that people have a variety of reasons for getting rid of season tickets, and in all fairness its their right to. I''d say its interesting how you say those that cancel are the ones who aren''t welcome. It seems clear to me that those who gob off to others and tell them whether they''re a ''fair wheather fan'' are the ones who are less welcome. Those like yourself, for example.

I hope you enjoy yourself as you attempt to hunt down everyone who can''t make every single game, and then sling them in a river.

Not unfair at all. If we were still championship, attendances would be the same as this season. Money may be tight, but if you can find it to watch Norwich v Big team, you''d find it to watch Shrewsbury if you weren''t fairweather.

And as a Jarrold stander, Mr Bumpkin is spot-on. Far too many glory hunters; people who weren''t really upset at all about getting relegated. Bring back the days of 15,000 proper fans.

Good afternoon. I''d like an argument, please.

No you wouldn''t!

I believe I would.

Honestly! Do you lack such basic human contact in your own life that you need to come on here deliberately winding people up just so they talk to you?

You have my pity and sympathy.

I haven''t had a season ticket in 18 years because I live too far away. I am shocked that whilst I''ve been standing at away grounds or listening to canary world or following games through live text updates that I haven''t actually been supporting Norwich at all!

I see what you''re saying.... the best way to support the team is to not support them at all. Sit at home with a nice cuppa listening to Dumb and Dumber on Radio Norfolk.

Sorry, can''t do that. I ennjoy watching Norwich City in the flesh and have no problem with watching them in League One. If others don''t fancy it, fair enough, its a free country and all that but don''t justify withdrawl of support as some kind of moral crusade. You used to support the club, now you don''t, but you might do again if the team''s fortunes show an upturn.

Now then, did you just happen across this site today, or have you simply created a new account so that we don''t have to know your real posting identity?

[/quote]Actually Bumpkin no one on this thread said that.  And no one who''s giving up their season tickets is saying they don''t want to support Norwich anymore, just that they''d rather pay for games as and when they can go to them.  Stop trying to create an argument.

Bumpkin, I think you''re slightly missing the point of people cancelling season tickets. Its not the club, the league we''re in or even the crappy team (whats left of it) thats getting some fans goats, its the Norwich City boardroom people are finding it hard to give their hard earned cash to. They''ve made too many mistakes, squandered too much cash on non-footbaling activities and have ran out of ideas. They need to be shown the fans will no longer tolerate being made fools of. Season ticket cancellations are just one way of expressing their discontent.

You can carry on handing over your cash to them like a simpleton, but don''t tell us we don''t care because we refuse go to games whilst the current setup are in charge.

The way your convey yourself Bumpkin suggests to me that you''re not an idiot, however the content of your posts suggest you are - it doesn''t add up. The has binner written all over it.

You''re not one of those repulsive Capital Canaries are you? I''m from Lad-dah Lahhhndahhhn, don''t you know and I pretend to like football to impress Tarquin and Rupert although I really prefer rugger. Sound familiar?

If the Wiz had written this we''d have been on page 8 by now, just not enough bile in the first post.  To do this kind of thing properly, you need to be a really frump frustrated man of middle-age.A poor wind-up as they go.  Shame it''s the only thing you''ve tried to do on here Mr Bumpkin, it''s just not that good I''m afraid.

How courageous of you to cancel your season tickets. Why can''t you just be honest and admit you don''t really fancy watching Divvy 3 football and you''re not really that bothered about Norwich City? You could spend all the lovely money you''ll save on a Man Utd shirt. Enjoy supportying your "new team", whoever that might be. I wonder how many of you hail from the Jarrold Stand, the spiritual home of the Jonny-come-Lately "I got a season ticket when we were all but assured of Premiership football" fan. Perhaps we''ll see you again one day down at Carrow Road. You won''t be missed.

Personally, I''m looking forward to the new season. New teams, new grounds. Bring it on.

Real fans stick by their team through thick and thin. Bring it on.

Kindest regards,

B. Bumpkin Esq

Kinda unfair really. Incase its passed you by, we''re still in a global recession, and everyone needs to look after the pennies. So really, it seems to be financial reasons thats causing people to give up their season tickets.

Also, most people are united in the idea that change needs to happen at the top of Carrow Road, with new board members who know hat their doing. Even with Mumbles and Doomy out, mistakes are still being made. Surely it sends a clear message to them if people sell their tickets back?

And those who sell their tickets are hardly going to support a new team are they? They''ll probably still go to Carrow Road as and when. Thats all some of us can afford anyway.

All hail the pub landlord/copper!

That''s ride follow the rest  of the herd, good little sheep.

Are you going to get some "I''m a traitor" badges made up? Wear them with pride when you''re strolling round the city on a Saturday afternoon.

REAL fans will be at the game, supporting their team

Mr Bumpkin.

Thank you for uniting us in another cause.

A word has yet to be invented to describe what you are, but you are one; and a complete and total one at that!

Now let''s stop feeding the troll and giving him a reason to exist in front of his mum''s laptop and let him get back to the porn.

NCISA - joke

NCISA public meetings - big joke

What, exactly, did this pointless gathering achieve, other than to give the pub landlord yet another opportunity to listen to the sound of his own voice? Here''s a hint - NOTHING!

It''s a shame you can''t get to games. But that is what being a supporter is all about. Go the game, giving the team your vocal support (or abuse if they deserve it). I think you know the answer to your last question, don''t you.

I don''t think relegation is by any means the end of the world. If we end up with a team of eager youngsters and blokes we''ve picked up from non-league for a song, fine. Could give a monkey''s chuff about the McPremier League (TM) and couldn''t care less if we never play in it agian, it''s meant for Man Uunited adoring Malaysian fans, not for the likes of you and me. Itb will be great to get back to ground where you can stand on proper half empty crumbling terraces. Pitches like ploughed fields? Good, I don''t like all this damp-eyed nancy boy "passing football".

In short, League One will be a breath of fresh air and I can''t wait for the season to start.

I also think it is absolutley splendid that we are the pre-season fluffer for a properly big club like Wigan Athletic.
