Xavi- Poor Mans Ian Crook

Otsemoboor is awful

Recommended Posts

Thought he looked appalling today. The word dopey springs to mind!

Has the physical attributes to be such a good player, but just doesn''t seem to have the intelligence or desire to do so.

I think it''s tactical.  It looks to me he''s been told not to get forward and rather concentrate more on his defensive duties.  I don''t think he''s the best defender in the world but fortunately enough, he has more to his armory, notably his pace.  If someone could get hone his pace and encourage it, I think he could be a real threat.  At the moment he''s not crossing the halfway line which just appears to be a waste.

Roeder has just put his finger on the problem with Otsemebor, without naming him as such, he said on Canary call that there are some players that know if they play badly they''ll be playing in the next game due to the small size of the squad.  Jon is a lazy player on a bad day, but can equally be an absolute beast....he had a tough game at Palace where he was doing both his own job and that of the missing Crofty, I''m afraid that is what you get with him.

Thinking the same Hooleyfan.

The thing that annoys the fans the most, I think, is when the player''s dont seem to care, and I think thats what we got from him today.

Somebody else that I was speaking to said this. We are no longer seeing the best of Jon Otsemobor as his best asset (his pace) does not need to be used with the current tactics. Both full backs are not really attacking meaning his pace bombing up the wings is not used. And his pace to get back and defend after an attack isn''t noticed either. If used in a correct system he can be a great player in my opinion.
Rubbish. Our full backs go so far forward, our central defenders are forced to play as full backs, causing the space which the opposition exploit to score the goals. Happened today as well for the first Forest goal.

A great athlete, not a natural footballer.  For some time now he has relied too much on his pace to cover up his defensive laziness and today he missed a lot of opportunities to push forward and/or overlap with croft.  Shocking performance today.

Yup, not a good performance from Semmy. I think he probably knows that Roeder doesn''t really rate him and wouldn''t have him in the team if other players were available.

It''s a shame because I think he could be a real big asset for us, especially when he combines with Croft, but he was useless today. Although there were a few others who were equally as poor today.
Agree , Bell, Hoolahan, Pattison, Clingan were all just as bad. Whilst playing a 4 5 1 how the Forest midfield can make the runs they did unmarked is a joke.

Why stop there?

You can add Bertrand and probably Omosuzi to that list.

Although I think that list of players who were bad today can be divided into two groups. One group just played poorly. One group didn''t give a sh*t how they played.

He ws terrible today, not sure what his problem is, he has the pace to devastate teams but his brain doesnt seem to work quick enough. with  his defending, there were a lot of times today that someone had got in behind him and it took him a few seconds before realising he should run back.

Imo its the same going forward, instead of automatically overlapping croft it takes him that few extra seconds to think about doing it and then its too late.

So he knows he is gonna get a run of games so why not go out and be determined to prove the mgr wrong? Or is he just another molly coddled footballer!?

The guy is lazy and switches off for 50% of the match.

Was there some monumental  team p#ss up Boxing Night, cos I cant see what has changed in such a short space of time since Charlton at home?

ill admit ive been on the back of otsemobor for some time now...

he only runs forward when we shout and make him, and he constantly lets players approach him.

if we had more centre backs, then id rather have omosuzi at right back, i feel its more important to let the defence defend than otsemobor to jog up the pitch and make no effort to return to his position.

even during the charlton game everything went through bouazza as otsemobor was getting caught out time and time again.

today otsemobor was bad, but nobody had a stand out game, and there was alot of poor performances

We were fecking awful against Charlton and got lucky. This time Semmy, Ozomuzi and Doc decided to make a few more feck ups and we got made to pay.
