Ayrton Twigge 0 Posted August 13, 2004 Think you''ve got the starting 11 but not so sure about the subs.I think they will be :-Gallacher ShackellBrennanMcVeigh McKenzie
Tilt 12 Posted August 13, 2004 PA Sport keeps putting out the legue''s top scorers in the wires and amusingly Jim Brennan is about 5th :) - Surely worth his place on the bench?!
Jonny Raceway<P><FONT face=Tahoma><EM><STRONG>When playing Target Darts always put your best foot forward!<STRONG><EM><FONT><P> 0 Posted August 13, 2004 Hucks will be lucky to see out 60 mins judging by last weeks run out. He looked v sharp but lacking in match fitness. Still, 60 mins of him at full pelt will be better than 90 half-paced. Also for Gallacher and Malkay, read Ward and Shackell; injuries will keep them off the bench. Otherwise, I like it a lot!!
boro bloke 0 Posted August 13, 2004 likely to be a 4-5-1 formation Green Helveg Fleming Charlton Drury Holt Francis Jonson Bentley Huckerby SvensonBring it on dowie''s boys
ZLF 335 Posted August 13, 2004 Boro bloke - that looks more like 4-2-3-1 which I and MG7 have suugested a couple of times before.I suspect that a more traditional 4-4-2 will be retained utilising the same starting 11. The only question is whether it is Johnsson or McVeigh - recent noises suggest Mattias making his debut.OTBC
boro bloke 0 Posted August 13, 2004 Ive heard from a really good source it will be jonson on the right by the 4-5-1 i was refering to holt francis holding jonson on the right huckerby left and bentley just of sven the 3 of them can then change positions when they feel like it causing teams concern with there pace and movement bring it on the mighty yellows are back!!! otbc

silver fox 0 Posted August 13, 2004 My team would be as follows: Huckerby SvenssonBentley Holt Francis JonsonDrury Charlton Fleming Helveg GreenSubs: Ward, Edworthy, Brennan, Jarvis, McKenzie
DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted August 13, 2004 Playing Greeno up front is a bit of a gamble silver fox!! Only joking! I feel sorry for players who featured a fair bit last year and would be looking for a place on the bench. Players like Edworthy, Malky, McVeigh, Brennan, Mulryne, McKenzie, Hendo and Jarvis will all be looking for a spot. But with a goalkeeper place taken up that means that 4 will be disappointed. Throw Safri and another defender and striker in the mix and you wonder how we''ll keep everyone happy!!Keep the faith
AJ 1,358 Posted August 13, 2004 on bench:safri - Midfield subMckenzie - striker subGallacher - obviously goalie subMcveigh -covers wingsEdworthy (or other defender)
shardy 0 Posted August 14, 2004 Am i right in thinking that in the prem (oh my god i can''t wait) you have 7 subs on the bench. just thought i''d better point that out.
David Olausson 0 Posted August 14, 2004 No it''s just 5 subs on the bench in all English leagues I think...Line Up: Greeno Helveg Fleming Charlton Drury Jonson Holt Safri Bentley Svensson HuckerbyIt''s a pity that a player like McVeigh can''t take a place in this 11, but i guess he will fight very hard for a place on either wing this season. And he will have a good chance to take it I think.
