newyorkcanary 14 Posted November 16, 2008 When Roeder was appointed, his reputation was one of a hardass, a hatchet man, with little "bedside manner" as they say in the medical field. The situation Grant left us was abysmal; we were the worst team in The Football League, Prem down to League 2, and Grant had spent enormous sums of cash to get us there. What Roeder did to keep us up last year deserves our respect and praise, as we had no business staying up the day he took over. Roeder was known as a manager who gets results his first year on the job, but lets it slip away the second, for whatever reason.Roeder has been absolutly horrible this year. The constant tinkering of lineups, his unwillingness to accept any blame, poor choices in several loans, and most of all, his egotistical nature, that because he has "connections" to Premier League sides, that he feels he is somehow above Norwich and it''s station is unforgivable. I want him sacked and we have good reason to feel that way. That being said, references to Roeder as "Rodent" makes us look like backwoods hicks. Is that how we really act? Let the facts speak for themselves: for all the complaining about there being no money, our wage bill is in the top half of the Championship, and Roeder was given free reign to hand pick his team. Now we''re in 19th and with no one to blame but Roeder. But when we get petty on these boards and refer to him as Rodent, it reflects badly on Norwich and its supporters. I''d like to escort him out the door as much as anyone, but lets be respectful and not come across as buffoons.

The Lucky Nine 0 Posted November 16, 2008 ...and did we not call Grant - Grunt and Worthington - Worthless and I dread to think what Walker was know as when he left for Everton. Hardly the end of the world, but then it is a PC one we live in these days.Delia Out (or am I being disrespectful?)
John Boubepo 0 Posted November 16, 2008 I agree the term Rodent is disrespectful and childish and should be replaced with Mr Rodent at the very least

E I E I E I O 0 Posted November 16, 2008 Was Grant not forced to sell Earnie on arrival for 3.5 Million?Marshall good buy (Just playing in front of a awful defence at present)Otsemobor FreeRussell Good Buy?Chris Brown Made a profitFotheringham recieved a large bid from CharltonOverall he did not do too bad signing wise, he was a scapegoat to hide our boards failings. Yet again the fans appear to be turning on the manager instead of her majesty. Our managers are set up to fail until a new board with an ounce of ambition can be found! Still didnt think he was up to the job though.
