Camuldonum 0 Posted October 1, 2008 EAST ANGLIAN DAILY TIMES TRAIN services between Ipswich and Norwich will not be running when the football clubs meet in December, it emerged today.Ipswich Town fans will be travelling to Norwich City''s Carrow Road ground for the derby clash on Sunday, December 7, at 1.15pm.But because of engineering work National Express trains between Ipswich and Norwich will not operate, including the football special train that would normally be provided.Instead there will be a limited coach replacement service and Ipswich Town Football Club has made arrangements for more official coach travel spots.National Express East Anglia apologised to customers but said the advance planning of the repairs meant that Network Rail was unable to reschedule the work. Jim Smith 2,610 Posted October 1, 2008 lol - this combined with the slightly later kick-off will no doubt be giving the police some headaches as they won''t just be able to march the binners to and from the station this year!

gary 0 Posted October 2, 2008 as it is an NCFC home game , on Sky and controlled by Norfolk police can we not refuse to sell tickets to them as we " cannot guarantee a safe trip for them on their yearly trip to civilisation " and in effect ban any scummer from attending - ie sell all tickets at Carrow road and only to NCFC members or season ticket holders Would it affect the atmosphere too much and would anybody miss the london overspill brigade
