Dean Windass

Was reading on the bbc website that Dean Windass is holding talks with Phil Brown about his future at the club due to the lack of first team football.

Maybe we could get him as a possible loan signing. Ok he is old but he has done a good job for hull in the last few years and could add another targetman to our squad and can give sibierski some competition which he needs

Rumours are he may be tempted into a player manager role at Grimsby.  Dont think he will retire yet, can perform at League 1 or 2 for another couple of seasons yet I reckon.

Deano reckons he has about two seasons left in him - certainly at League One or Two I would think that is right.  The sad fact is that he''s well off the pace for the Premiership although on for the last 15 minutes is still an option - in League Two he could certainly do a job for someone.  Grimsby is just talk at the moment - Bradford might be another option.  I''d like it to be Lincoln but I''m not over hopeful.

Money is not really the problem I would say because Deano is desperate to keep playing and when he dropped out of League football before he ended up with North Ferriby United so he won''t be in it for the cash.

I would say any League Two team would take him so it will eventually get down to his personal preference I would think.

The Girl Upstairs assures me he''s reasonably okay with being taken off on 60 minutes or so but certainly not with not starting at all either from the bench or the team sheet.
