We can have a go at the board as much as we want over so called funding of the squad. The lack of a new striker falls firmly at the feet of Roeder. He has known for several months now that a ball holding striker was needed. He also knows exactly what funds he has available. It is begining to look like Roeder has messed up big time. Whatever funds he did have a huge proportion has gone on Premiership loan players covering positions we could well have got away with.

Roeder has a few days to prove me wrong, I hope he does. If no striker is forthcoming our season is over before it starts.

You do when you come from Planet Simple.

In Simplonian eyes money is the only factor in obtaining a player. The fact that the manager doesn''t rate said player, the player doesn''t want to come here, his family don''t want to come here, his club don''t want to release him ..... none of that matters.

Yes, there comes a point where you can throw such vast amounts of cash at a problem that you can overcome it, but if you''re waiting for a deranged billionaire to arrive & do this for you then you will be waiting a long time. And I doubt if even Mr.Cullum would be suficiently deranged to cough up the necessary required to keep the denizens of said planet happy for very long.GR has known his budget from day one & is happy with it. Here''s the thing - he doesn''t like paying over the odds, even when it''s other people''s money. And that''s the truth.

sorry mate but you''re wrong in my opinion. IF Roeder had a decent amount of cash to spend we would already have one or two strikers, perhaps we might even, own them ourselves!

ps - anyone know the directions to planet simple.(hope it''s like planet hollywood). I want to get there, set up an immigration department to ensure that no Board apologists, Delia suck ups, little norwich sponsors, people with no ambition, canary call particpants, etc etc are all BANNED from entering. Then we can all be happy.

Exactly!  For example we could have signed Hulse for £1.7m if the money hadn''t be spent on non critical fixed assets
At least we have that much needed new AV equipment in the players lounge to fall back on!
lol well it''s essential to running a football club after all.

I think the board have their priorities all wrong, money should be first spent on the playing squad, then on restaurants, land deals, AV equipment etc......

Have to say I was quite shocked to learn that the season ticket money no longer goes towards the playing squad, next season they will be two less season ticket holders, because Im damned if Im paying over £800 for them to spend on off pitch investments.
