BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted July 19, 2008 Good pre-season results for City are followed by a poor league season. And conversely, poor pre-season results are followed by a good league season.Anybody have the data to test this hypothesis?OTBC
CiderkiddCanary 0 Posted July 19, 2008 I should imagine one of the those websites that keep the past data on results might have them. Try googling it [;)]

Evil Monkey 52 Posted July 19, 2008 Well at least you''re asking for evidence of your assumption for a change... you''re learning, Bly... with that kind of attitude, you could go to Uni.... [;)]

Evil Monkey 52 Posted July 19, 2008 Oh, and in sensible response (mustn''t forget to do that from time to time), I don''t currently have any data as the official site only includes league and cup results/fixtures. Hopefully someone else will find the necessary data... I don''t really have an idea one way or another, I rarely pay attention to friendlies and couldn''t really tell you any results over the last few pre-season, they mean very little in my eyes. I seem to remember us having some terrible pre season results during our Prem years which were followed by good seasons.Don''t know if it''s true anymore though. chicken 0 Posted July 19, 2008 I think this is reading into things too much, if this was anywhere near true we would only play rubbish teams pre-season!We nearly always have a premiership team which we duely loose to - I can''t remember the headlining pre-season game where we won?!!! But then I wouldn''t say we have done that poorly up until last season and actually against Wet Sham it was the unlikely who I thought performed. Chris Brown really rocked in that game and scored from a left footed cross by Croft right in front of me!
