Pete Raven 276 Posted June 4, 2008 http://new.pinkun.com/content/NCFC/Video/2008/CrossbarAdamsEadie.aspxCan you and your friends hit the crossbar from the halfway line? Former Norwich City players Neil Adams and Darren Eadie joined the Archant Sports Desk and had a go, so why don''t you? Send your film to peter.raven@archant.co.uk and we''ll put your efforts online. AndyJR 0 Posted June 4, 2008 Playing at Cricket at UEA on Satuarday, will give it a go and send in my attempt. Enjoyed Neil Adams (being the founder of the ''Canary Call appreciation society I would'') and Darren Eadie''s attempt''s. Yet I notice no one has managed it yet.......how hard can it be? :)
Pete Raven 276 Posted June 4, 2008 Eadie hit the bar from 30 yards in-between filming - sadly the cameras were off at the time...
AndyJR 0 Posted June 4, 2008 When I noticed that this was filmed at Eaton Park Pete, you said ''more of that in the summer''. Have you managed to get Huck''s to give it a go????!!!!!????!!!!

Binky 0 Posted June 4, 2008 Pete - Talking of dead ball specialists, Simon Lappin should have a go! £25 to your favourite charity if you can persuade him - and I''ll double it if he hits the bar!

vf10a 0 Posted June 5, 2008 From the distance to the bandstand it looks as if you guys were on the kiddies pitch. The distance from the halfwayline to the goal is severely reduced on this. Confirm/deny?

Eaton Park is quite a sad story these days. Years ago on a satuarday you would have 6 games of cricket being played, plus another in the cage, which is up near the other entrance. Due to the lack of attention to the wickets and facilites, that gradually became less and less, until just the cage was left. After the local kids decided to ''plough'' the wicket, even that was dicarded. Real shame because in their prime they were some of the best batting strips around but there we are. I shall shutup and stop boring everyone now. :)
Jules 0 Posted June 5, 2008 Would love to see Ian Crook try this. Didn''t he once score from the half way line during a half time show at Wembley?

Huh?! 0 Posted June 9, 2008 I was on that same pitch myself yesterday training with my team and I can confirm that the pitch is a full sized one. Just looks a lot smaller due to the camera.
Huddy 0 Posted June 9, 2008 to me it does look short, i reckon it is! There''s no markings on that pitch, no halfway line or centre circle!Unless you took your tape measure pete!
