clibit 0 Posted February 29, 2008 I see you have been on a solid run, just one defeat in about 15? You were certainly under-achieving before Roeder arrived.Mind you, there''s been a fair few draws and a 4-0 defeat at Leicester two games ago. And 1-0 at home to Barnsley is not entirely convincing. I think we will be up for this match after our performance last Saturday. Dickov and McPhee looked very lively together up front. Two january signings, and a big improvement on what we had before. We can go above you on GD this weekend should we manage a win.Should be a good tight game. Good luck after Saturday.
Iwan is God 0 Posted February 29, 2008 Not convincing? 8 wins out of 15 isn''t bad!
clibit 0 Posted February 29, 2008 I said 1-0 at home to Barnsley is not too convincing. Read carefully!
blahblahblah 2 Posted February 29, 2008 Hi clibitThere''s a form comparison here if you''re interested, makes us look a bit more dour than we are [:)] : Blackpools'' recent away form :Ipswich : 2 - 1 defeatHull : 2 - 2Bristol : 1 - 0 defeatCharlton : 4 - 1 defeatColchester : 0 - 2 win1 - 1 - 3 : 6 for, 9 against.Norwichs recent home form :Barnsley : 1 - 0 winHull : 1 - 1Preston : 1 - 0 winLeicester : 0 - 0Wolves : 1 - 12 - 3 - 0 : 4 for, 2 against.On the basis of recent form, if we score 2, you''re very likely to lose. But we''re very unlikely to score 2. I''d say a 1-0 win to us. Good luck !
clibit 0 Posted February 29, 2008 Cheers blahblah. We are much stronger at home obviously. Have struggled away but our performances are improving. At Hull we went 2-0 up but then they pegged us back. At ipswich both our centre halves went off injured inside half an hour and we struggled witrh a full back and a midfield player replacing them. Before that we lost 1-0 at Bristol City but played well and were a bit unlucky.Prior to Dickov and McPhee signing we didn''t have any forwards who seemed good enough for this level. Dickov has made a huge difference and McPhee played like a man possessed last Saturday. So we are all hoping it wasn''t a one off - it was the first time they have played together. In the recent matches between us Huckerby and Dublin have given us a lot of problems, and Cureton is a dangerous player. As is Evans by the sound of it. I''m hopeful of a good performance but aware it won''t be easy.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted February 29, 2008 Dickov is a player I admire. He always seems to play well and score against us. We will need to score 2. A good bet would be 2 - 1 or 3 - 1 to Norwich with Dickov as first scorer.
clibit 0 Posted February 29, 2008 Dublin and Huckerby always seem to play well against us! Mind you, Dublin is usually dividing his duties between playing and reffing.
treacletown07 6 Posted February 29, 2008 You are more than welcome on this messageboard more than the we8wba joker. You want your team to win and do well just as NCFC fans do.The difference is that you dont patronise us or talk down to us.I hope and I am sure Blackpool will do well this season. If you can please make sure that ''my wolves'' stay where they belong. [/quote]Does that mean Dickov will be ffing off to Dublin instead of the actual ref then? He has one of the dirtiest mouths in football. Everytime I have seen him play he has told the ref to f-off at least twice!
