HOCKEYMYHERO 0 Posted January 3, 2008 Players we may like or dislike could well be sold or at least moved on to pastures new but please keep the faith in Glenn and let him do his job , he clearly has plans in place and raising extra cash is i am sure helping to bring in better quality players for many areas of our limited squad , If the sale of Lewis goes ahead i for one wish him well he is indeed a fine prospect but still a long way from the finished article . We can only really judge things after all the transfer dealings are over and although we can only be impressed by our change in fortunes we still have a real battle on our hands this league is so tight and could well go right to the wire [ for all our nerves i hope not ] anyway lets all back Glenn and his team to get it right...............COME ON CITY............................ Branston Pickle 4,149 Posted January 3, 2008 Completely agree with you there Hockey - to make any judgement on things (either for or against) only 3 days into the transfer window would be quite simply madness. We need to wait and see what happens in the remainder of January before we can pass judgement. For what it is worth, imo GR inherited an extremely oddly balanced squad with holes in various places but with a potential 5 keepers (two of whom were out on loan with no chance of a recall) - that is a little bizarre, 3 is more than ample. I''m sure that accepting an offer on someone who has potential is not something he wants to do, but at the end of the day Lewis is 3rd in line and it is only fair to give him a chance elsewhere should he want it. Barry Brockes 157 Posted January 3, 2008 Let''s just hope he hasn''t been told that any money he needs for incoming players has to be obtained by selling a few of our existing players first because that''s the only money available and please please please, particularly in the light of our precarious position, let''s not leave all incomings until 31st January even if it does mean having to pay a couple of weeks'' extra wages! Been there too many times under the Prophet of Doom.

First Wizard 0 Posted January 4, 2008 Its not Glen that worries me, its Doncaster and his fellow board members I worry about!.[:|]
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted January 4, 2008 I am happy to trust Roeder to do the job. He is working with what he has and if giving Joe lewis a first team move means, for example, bringing in Matty patty or swinging the balance to bring back Tiny then I regard that as good sense.
